They announced four west coast cities. I hope for something on the east coast. Philly? Brooklyn? Mohegan Sun?
So no Tina Charles? Is she playing overseas somewhere? The team is very guard heavy. No Dolson either?

Starting to lean on the side of Diana & Sue being replaced. They are greats for sure , but they’re clearly better options at both positions now within the WNBA.

So at this point barring injury I think the designated 8 are pretty close to locks
Which leave 4 spots
I can't imagine that Stewart Griner or Moore would be denied if they made themselves available but it is becoming more imaginable that one might decline and injury could still be a concern for another for now I still think we will see Stewart and Griner there is a little more of a question mark with Moore.
I think this tour and the trials are giving some insight as to who is in heavy consideration.
Collier and Deshields seem to be the insurance options for no Moore but both could still make the squad in that 12th spot even if Moore is available and it looks Luke for now team USA is looking for one more guard. Plum and Clarendon or still in the mix from the worlds, Ogunbowale is obviously getting some consideration and Augustus is trying to keep her name in the mix.
Charles might be playing overseas but would probably benefit from being around atm I see her as not making the final 12 unless Stewart isn't available.
So my breakdown for now
Bird/Gray
DT/ Diggings-Smith
EDD
N. Ogwumike/Wilson
Fowles/Griner
Stewart
One of Moore/Collier/ Deshields
One of Augustus/ plum/ Ogunbowale/Clarendon/Deshields/Collier
Outside looking in
Charles /McCoughtry/ Loyd

Plum's the only one there for both the tour & the Olympic qualifiers. I'm guessing she's more of a lock for one of those 4 spots than anyone else.
Plum, Stewart, Charles & Griner? Does leave them very post heavy and lacking at the SF spot.

She could be playing overseas right now, so if she’s sacrificing her time to be with USAB, she should have the upper hand. DeShields too.

Delle Donne recently said she won’t be 100% for 2-3 months. I still think she’ll stay a part of this program, but might be taking it little easier than most of the others.

so 2020
Bird/Gray/Plum
DT/Diggins-Smith
EDD/Moore or Collier or Deshields
Stewart/N. Ogwumike/Wilson
Griner/Fowles
I'm guessing Collier in the last spot

Of the designated eight, 4 of them are injured. So are all of them going to be playing in these games. If not, they will be pretty short handed. Of course they still won't have too much trouble with the college teams, who won't know which cyclone just hit them.

So these 4 games are suppose to generate extra income for players to not have to go over seas ? Just these 4 ? I cant imagine this equaling and overseas salary . Maybe i am under the wrong impression , Clarification anyone ?

Not sure how USA Basketball came up with that 3x3 team. Previously, it looked like they attempted to include people who have a history of playing together. For the Pan Am Games, they used two Oregon players and two UConn players. The tournament considered the USA championships was won the last two years by all-Oregon teams. This group looks like names pulled out of a hat. Two pros, a college player, and a high school kid. As far as I know, they have never played together. I'd be fine with USA Basketball simply searching for the best players. However, if that's the case, you would think there are players in the WNBA who are better than Ruthy Hebard and Paige Bueckers.

I'd expect a post to replace her since they're already guard heavy. Maybe Tina Charles? Dolson?

They’re both playing overseas, although I’m not sure when they start.

The qualifier is in March, so I'd assume it'll be 4 WNBA players on the team that are available. Any college players will be in the NCAA tournament.
