My picks for Finals MVP if the Sun win, in order:
1. AT
2. JJ if she has the best game on the team
3. CW if she has the best game on the team by a mile
My picks for Finals MVP if the Mystics win, in order:
1A. EDD
1B. EM
3. KT if she has the best game on the team
4. NC if she has the best game on the team by a mile
Basically, I'm gonna go with A. Thomas if the Sun win, EDD if the Mystics win. Pretty wide open for this year's Finals though, particularly on the Mystics' side.

EDD would have to score 30+ in this game to win finals MVP IMO.

Right not sure what she’s done to deserve finals MVP. If mystics Win it’s either Messeman or Toliver .

She dragged herself out on the court to support the team, knee brace, mask, and bad back....they'll give it to her out b/c of "heroics" as opposed to stats, even though w/o Messeman they wouldn't even be in the Finals.

That would be the most disrespectful thing they could ever do. You dont give finals MVP for heroics.

The numbers are still close enough that if Delle Donne's the primary scorer on Thursday night she probably gets MVP. She's still their leading per game rebounder in the Finals, crazily enough, despite playing under 4 minutes in one of the games. I'd say Delle Donne, Meesseman, Toliver and even Cloud could all still win it for Washington. Alyssa Thomas is probably getting it if Connecticut win, although a huge game for Jonquel Jones or Courtney Williams could maybe get one of them involved. |

Call me a naive Elena Delle Donne fan, but I can see her refusing the MVP Award (in advance), feeling her injury let her team down.
As Mechelle wrote: Amanda said Delle Donne puts personal awards, like the second MVP trophy she earned this season, into a closet and out of sight pretty quickly. "She's like, 'I did that, now it's on to the next thing,' " Amanda said. "She appreciates the recognition, but she just wants to focus on trying to get this championship." https://www.espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/27792827/family-comes-first-delle-donne-even-one-win-shy-wnba-title
And speaking of Amanda Clifton, I've seen quite enough of Courtney Williams' father. ESPN, give us a glimpse of EDD's wife!

Delle Donne played 3 minutes in Game 2. That alone should eliminate her.
Mystics MVP: Meesseman
Sun MVP: A. Thomas

Okay, you’re naive. She says the championship is important. Finals MVP is the pinnacle of winning the championship. I can’t see her turning it down.
I personally think it should go to Meesseman if they win and she doesn’t disappear.

And Washington lost, which speaks to her importance.

I can just see it all right now "Emma/Alyssa you just won the WNBA Finals MVP and your prize is ONE DOLLAR OFF ON ANY MEDIUM OR LARGE PIZZA. What are you going to do with your pizza?"
