I think it’s getting to the point where we can start the debate on whether Courtney Vandersloot is the best passer in the history of The League. She currently owns the 2 best passing seasons on record and shows no signs of deterioration. She is 30 years old, 8 years younger than both Sue Bird is now and Ticha Penicheiro was when she retired. Theoretically, if she stays healthy, she has that many years ahead of her in the league.

So, my question is, considering that the speed of the game and scoring seems to be speeding up every year, what are the chances that we see Slooty produce a double digit assist season during her career?

possible but unlikely. all the stars would have to align properly for it to happen...and she needs a bunch of teammates who can finish.

She’s improving each year and shows no signs of letting up. With the Diamond and company improving as well I see her with 10 APG within the next 2 years.

Was looking for another thread and re-discovered this one. This of course was before we knew anything (about anything, really, but specifically) about how the 2020 season would be... namely with a 22-game schedule. 😅 But nevertheless, it counts! Slooty, even in a season with an asterisk by it, can still say she did it. Very Happy

The question becomes... can she do it again the next time we have a season with a normal amount of games? 🤔

but once Sloot becomes the first player to average a points/assists double-double it will be a different conversation.
