It’s a silly notion. If they didn’t sit Delle Donne for Game #3, you’re not going to sit her for Game #4.... unless she had a setback. There was no sign or mention of a setback, so there you go. That was easy.

Delle Donne did what she could. She didn’t have to be amazing. She was a decoy. She made jump shots when she was left open. She got defensive rebounds. That’s all they needed.

Now here’s the real topic. If Delle Donne has a similar game as the last one, and the Mystics end up winning the championship, who will be named the Finals MVP? Politics and good storylines might give it to Delle Donne for her “toughness and bravery”, but I think the REAL MVP of the series has been Meesseman. Give it to a bench player who probably hasn’t been recognized for any awards this season.

Toliver has been the MVP so far imo

Cloud

I could see that if she steps up in game 4 the way she did in game 3

If Emma plays like she did in the last game then she should get finals MVP IMO. I would stretch it out to her being the playoffs MVP.

How has Emma done defensively? And keeping Jones and Alyssa Thomas off the boards?

She was a central part of that in Game 3. https://twitter.com/herhoopstats/status/1181298073584226306?s=20

Personally, right now I'd probably give the Finals MVP to Toliver, but the difference of opinions here shows how close it is. At least four players, maybe more, could win it depending on how their final win went - and that's only if the Mystics win the series.

Talk of MVP of Mystics is premature and disrespectful to the Sun's organization and their players IMO. Job not finished.

PEACE & LOVE GO MYSTICS!!!!!

Premature? Maybe, but that’s what we do here. If you’re not looking ahead you’re falling behind. Have you noticed the mock draft thread and the various prediction threads?

Disrespectful? Naw. The way the Sun played in Game #3 was disrespectful to themselves. It was like a bunch of role players out there. Role players!

PEACE & LOVE GO MYSTICS!!!!!

If the Mystics win tonight they'll have to give the FMVP to someone. It makes perfect sense to start talking about it at this point.
