UC Riverside adds two ACs, Matt Shewmake and Julia Smith. Shewmake was most recently at NW Florida JUCO and was on CS Fullerton staff at one time. Julia Smith came from Cal Poly Pomona (D2)

Parrinello out at Monroe CC; WBB season canceled
Quote: |
Tim Parrinello is no longer the head women’s basketball coach at Monroe Community College (Rochester, NY), and the women’s basketball season has been canceled.
Parrinello, the long-time head coach at MCC, was suspended last November then subsequently reinstated in April following an investigation stemming from an NJCAA audit. It is unclear at this point if Parrinello was released or if he resigned.
During his 22 year tenure at Monroe (613-85), he took his teams to 11 Final Fours and captured 5 National Championships. Parrinello also served as the assistant director of athletics at the school. |

Obviously this needs more information. How do they just cancel a season? |

Wowsers. This leaves some young women high and dry. What about them?

It's difficult to start a season with only eight players.

Then have tryouts and add a couple more. I bet there are girls at that CC who played in HS and would be happy to fill out a team.
