Meesseman gets the game ball.

Meesseman is so underrated. Mystics are just too good and too deep. Aces will be fighting at home on Sunday. Between them & Los Angeles, I can see Vegas avoiding the sweep and getting a win on Sunday.

Reminder, no team has come back from down 0-2 in any WNBA playoff series

Neither the Sparks or Aces look like they could achieve a 3 game win streak in their respective series.

Reminds me back when people kept saying no team has ever come back down 1-3 in the NBA Finals. I'd give the Sparks a slight chance of coming back and the Aces no chance.

Meesseman is special. So much fun to watch. Very smooth and so understated. |
Agreed. Her offensive awareness and IQ are literally one of the best I’ve ever seen._________________

Great execution can beat great talent, but THIS much talent?
On the bright side, Plum looks good.. |
this is a learning experience for the aces. i still think they have better talents. they just don't know how to use their talents and play like a winner. making poor/bad decision and not understand the what it takes to win. mcbride, cambage, hamby, have been playing for a losing team for too long. they need to learn how to play to win. i thought laimbeer would be the perfect teacher for that? aside from that, laimbeer needs to take note on how to make the best of the players' ability, not to make them something that they are not.
this is the mystics year. they already went thru the learning experience and paid the dues.

Everybody pointing the finger at cabbages plus/minus but failing to observe how Wilson has failed to come through in any playoff game so far. Trade Wilson? Mrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't hate this. LV has to elite centers and no PG. They have a ton of talent so they will win games, but in a 5 game series against the other 4 best teams, this is going to be a problem. Wilson, for all of her greatness, needs the lane open to operate. She can't play outside of 15 feet, on offense or defense. IMO, no Cambage, Collier as the #1 pick playing the 3, Hamby starting at the 4, and Wilson at the 5....with a healthy Moriah Jefferson, is probably a better team.
Can you imagine what a healthy Seattle front court of Stewie/Howard would do Cambage/Wilson?

Plum is still better than Jefferson, even assuming Jefferson ever gets healthy

But Plum isn't a PG, she's a scorer. She's not a floor general, which is what they need. If she was, Jackie Young wouldn't have started at PG all season. And I know I'm a UCONN homer, but a healthy Moriah Jefferson is better than a healthy Plum....at the position that is a glaring problem for LV.

If you can't win when Jackie Young makes three threes and Tamera Young makes jump shots, when will you?
Of course, since I've disliked Laimbeer since his days with the Pistons, I'm biased ... still, Washington just looks like a better team.

Plum is absolutely a proper PG

Plum is doing well at PG, although I wouldn't be upset to see Lindsay Allen return, which would give them more flexibility. Quibbling about the starting positions is a moot point because once you get past Hamby and TYoung, the rest of the bench is pretty much a waste of space. Even if A'ja or Liz is having a bad game, the drop-off when Swords or Park replace them is horrific. Ditto when Plum goes out. There's a complete loss of rhythm on both ends of the court.

Defensively is where the Aces are getting worked at. That big lineup is so hard to guard because all of them can shoot, handle the ball, move well, smart, and function well together without getting into each other’s way.
No one is beating this Mystics team, they’re the champions._________________

I know Plum struggled A LOT in the regular season with her shooting, but she's been pretty unstoppable going to the bucket in the playoffs, and has looked like an all star all through the post season.
Her playoff #s thus far through three games:
16.7ppg, 8.3 apg (to 3.3 to), 5rpg, 55% FG, 50% 3pt, driving in at will and very fired up on the floor.
WHERE HAS THIS PLUM BEEN ALL YEAR.

I can't imagine why we're talking about Moriah Jefferson in 2019. Her most notable accomplishment of the last three years is being a packing peanut in the Cambage trade.
