The latest In The World Of Female Sports Podcast features Courtney Williams

Quote:
Courtney Williams isn't your normal D1 recruit story. She wasn't recruited heavily at an early age. She always had to work hard to clench that starting spot on the team. One thing that was instilled in her at a young age was her work ethic and confidence! She is now a super star leader and competitor for the Connecticut Suns WNBA squad. Her energy on and off the court is contagious and she is determined to get a championship under her belt this year! You don't want to miss this chat!
In this episode we discuss:
* Courtney's journey to USF
* Her inspiration: her mom!
* Being a confident person and player
* Her prediction for the Sun's this season

Highly recommend this new podcast called "Summ of it all" by former WNBA players and Lady Vols Shanna Zolman and Sidney Spencer. It's focused on Pat Summitt's famed "Definite Dozen" principles and they have new episodes each Saturday and they are articulate, funny and it's overall great storytelling and truly a who's who of the women's game - of course with a Lady Vols bent.

Impressive guests with everyone from Mickie DeMoss and Debbie Jennings (the longtime Lady Vols SID) to Chamique Holdsclaw, ESPN's Carol Stiff and Debbie Antonelli.

Really fun listening and good stories about Pat Summitt, her career, the foundation and women's bball in general. Download and listen!

ESPN did a 30 for 30 podcast on Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi when they were with Spartak that is a really interesting listen. The Spy Who Signed Me. It’s well worth 45 minutes of your time.

Candace Parker joins the guys for this week’s episode of Knuckleheads with Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles.

Quote:
The three start the show talking Chicago basketball and reminiscing on those legendary 90’s Bulls that they all grew up on. Then they relate their journeys to their first dunks — from toe raises on the stairs to touching high up on every wall they saw. Plus, Candace spills the secret to winning the McDonalds dunk contest: just make your dunks (Sorry Josh Smith and J.R. Smith). Then she tells the guys why she chose Tennessee and, of course, shares a few coveted Pat Summit stories. Candace speaks about her first years in the league and the physical impact having a baby had on her body, as well as the mental aspect of being a mom and a baller at the same time. The guys ask Candace for her take on the WNBA’s new CBA, and they discuss some of the surprising differences between the men’s and women’s leagues. Candace talks about clinching the 2016 WNBA Championship and tells Q and D that — if the Sparks didn’t have some of the injuries that they did in her first few years — they would’ve had a few more championships under their belt. Just saying. Tune in for more from one of the dopest female GOATs in the game.
