It seems every time I think I know anything about what is going on in the Middle East, something happens to prove to me that I don't.

My first thought when I heard about the attack on the Saudi Arabian oil facility was . . . Benjamin Netanyahu. Seems like every time he is up for another election, something happens that will put his constituents in fear of changing leadership in the middle of an emergency. To me, Bibi is a Trump think-alike (smarter, but almost as evil) who will eventually end up on trial after he leaves office. He knew that everyone would be pointing at Iran, his greatest enemy. And, of course, that is what all the news people are doing.

Houthis in Yemen are claiming credit, but somehow, I don't believe it.

Am I just way too far out there? Anybody have an opinion?

The Saudis and the Iranians have been involved in a low grade Cold War for a while. Looks like the Iranians are heating it up.

I'm not kidding when I say that this sounds almost exactly like the plot of a recent Mitch Rapp novel by Kyle Mills.

When you say"this" are you referring to my crazy thoughts?
I know nothing of either Mitch Rapp nor Kyle Mills, so I didn't steal the theory.
(I don't think you were implying that I did).
But I guess that means that I am not the only one with those thoughts.

I mean the attacking of the Saudi oil fields. Though in the book it was a Russian plot.
