I went out to check my mail today and to my surprise I saw a package on my doorstep. I opened it up and was thrilled to see a copy of "Barnstorming America - Stories from the Pioneers of Women's Basketball" and a congratulatory note from the author, John Molina. I had no idea the Tipping Contest would result in such an awesome prize. Thanks to Luuc and John Molina (who visits here from time to time) for arranging this.

The book is full of interesting pictures and stories which I am excited to read. Once I'm done I'm pretty sure my 92 year old mother will be excited to read it as well. It clearly represents a great deal of research and effort to document the women who laid the foundations for the sport we all enjoy today.

Randy,

Congrats and more then welcome. in fact anyone near Cincinnati this October might be interested in the following. Thanks to Marco as well for this.

Learn about the Barnstorming era of history of Women's Basketball and please share with others.

The Women's Barnstorming Basketball Players Association, (WBBPA) will have its first get together and participate in a PUBLIC signing of the book "Barnstorming America, Stories from the Pioneers of Women's Basketball" at the Basketball Skills Academy in Cincinnati on October 26th.

This is where the actual court of the former NBA Cincinnati Royals (Now Sacramento Kings) is located. Many artifacts on the history of Women's Basketball will also be on display/

Please watch video to get an idea of who these women are and the book "Barnstorming America" is available on Amazon
