she's Atlanta's 6th woman, so that's why she's in the poll.

Seemed for a long time like this award was going to Hamby and there wasn't much debate about it. But she did rather fade away later in the season, along with most people in Vegas. I'm just not sure anyone else did enough to take it away from her.

Meesseman seems like the clear choice to me, if people don't think she missed too many games.

McCowan is also eligible and was the best rebounder in the league this season. That has to count for something, but she probably started too many games.

Also, this award is silly.

When you’ve been a starter for years is this even an award you want to win? It belongs to Hamby.

Meesseman's numbers are better. Hawkins could be their 7th woman I guess. or even 8th. Powers might be their 7th. The curse of having a deep bench, I guess.

SMH at Meesseman getting so many more votes than Hawkins when she's only played 23 games. Why isn't A.Powers listed as an option?... And don't give me that "someone else" nonsense.

In terms of stats, the bench order for the Mystics goes as follows:

1. Meesseman(23 games): 23.6mpg, 13.1ppg, 42.rpg, 3.2apg
2. Powers(30 games): 19.8mpg, 11.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.5apg
3. Hawkins(31 games): 15.4mpg, 9.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 0.7apg
4. Walker-Kimbrough(34 games): 17.1mpg, 6.7ppg, 1.6rpg, 1.2apg

Again, when you have a deep bench, it's hard to pick a 6th woman. But Meesseman's stats prove she's the Mystics' candidate for 6th woman.

I'm not giving an award to a player who's missed 11 gms/32% of the season.....Would we give EDD the MVP if she missed 11 gms?....I highly doubt it.

I doubt Meesseman wins it anyway. Seems like this is Hamby's award. So let's no split hairs over something that's not likely to happen.
