For whatever tf it's worth, a Dream win would cause Atlanta to go ahead of New York in the final standings, and New York would then finish in Last Place.

Actually, New York has Atlanta's 2020 2nd-round pick (was This really considered a 4-team trade??). Ergo, a New York win will keep the Libs pickin' 13th, but if they lose, they'll actually pick 14th. Someone turn off New York's Tank Mode, no more letting the other team score 14 unanswered points to end the game Twisted Evil

There's no way NY tanked. They lost on "merit". If Katie wants to make a change, she would have to turn on tank mode.

I would prefer #13 but the truth is #14 is way better than I expected when management made the deal.

While I would like the 13 pick rather than the 14 pick in the second round.
I have the feeling I would like to see the Liberty finish this season with
a win...

Maybe Katie's last game as coach with a win

A win for the players who try every game, to end the season with a win

So I will take the 14 pick

Unfortunately that is the truth Exclamation
It would be a good sign imo if the LFO fired Smith literally the day/morning after the game (though no one would argue with it happening the moment their plane back touches down that night). To me, that would show that they haven't been wishy-washy with how they feel, that they took this season's continued lack of results seriously, and maybe even that they have some sort of vision for the team.

Under Katie Smith, the Liberty will finish with a two-season record of 17-51 or 16-52. You just can't bring a coach back after that. Memo to Jonathan Kolb, Keia Clarke, Joe Tsai, whomever: get this done.

Fantasy for next season: playing in Brooklyn, a new and far better coach, and Ionescu at point guard. After Hideous Lord Jimmy, sexual harasser Isiah, the Westchester County Center, and Katie Smith as head coach, I am clinging to my fantasy. Smile

Which is exactly why there's absolutely no need to delay what better be The Inevitable. Should they choose to broadcast the Lottery again, we better not see her f*cking face smiling for the camera as the Libs' Lottery Rep, hoo boy Evil or Very Mad

I'm sure Katie will say she thinks she did a pretty good job, just like last year.

Probably won't have to wait long for the coach firing(s) to start. Probably by mid week we will know one or two.

Looks like she started and played 3 seconds. that's got to be a record (not counting no time played in a season)

9:57

Dream

[ATL] McCoughtry Substitution replaced by Bentley

09:57

Liberty

Jump Ball Charles vs Williams (Wright gains possession)

10:00

That late three-pointer might be Tanisha Wright's last basket in her outstanding career. I'm hoping she'll be an assistant coach for New York next season.

Completely agree.

OTOH, it was nice to see Angel out there, even for three seconds. You have to wonder if this was her last time in a Dream uniform.

I sure as hell hope not: my mom doesn't like my dad driving by himself at night, so I'm probably going to be his guest at all the Dream games, until he's physically unable to go, any more. I really don't want to have to sit through any more Dream games without McCoughtry: two out of the last three seasons have been more than enough.
