Im starting to feel the media are swaying votes towards Collier. I would not be surprised nor upset if Collier won but Arike is the best rookie in the league . I may be biased but the eye test don’t lie . Make that 35 again for Arike !

Why wasn't Sykes the ROY over Gray if Sykes scored a lot of points the end of the season for Atlanta that year? 🤔

KLS better be a star otherwise it's amusing seeing Collier and Arike having back-to-back big games in wins over the Sky.

Gray got her points early, when Sykes was not playing well. First impression carried the day. For the same reason Collier will win this time. Collier got 27 points in her first game on national TV. Voters were probably thrilled to check the ROY box right then and forget about the rest of the season.

Collier has been the better all-around player since day 1.

Thanks, Dallas. Chicago losing to a lottery team is not a good look.

Obviously Gray's .381 FG% and .299 3P% were better than Sykes' .408 and .336

Confused Wait, that's not right

It must be because Gray's 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game were better than Sykes' 4.1 and 1.9 (in fewer minutes)

Confused Confused That still seems wrong

Because Gray's defensive efficiency was 108 and Sykes' was 104

Confused Confused Confused

Because Gray's net +/- was -6.5 and Sykes' was -3.6

Confused Confused Confused Confused

Oh yeah, I remember now. It's because most of the ROY voters made up their minds at the end of July instead of paying attention to the whole season.

Sky must not have been collectively convinced they could move up to a Top-4 seed... or something Laughing Hopefully they don’t feel inspired to drop to 6th, since I have Phoenix finishing 7th... Confused

You have to get the ball out of Arike's hands. You can't allow her to go 1-on-1 every possession. Then again I guess you can. Laughing

ROY should be a lock for Arike.

Arike can score 35 in every remaining game and Collier should still be ROY imo.

The pattern is so frustrating: we struggle against the bad teams and often win against the unexpected ones. Being a witness to it was just ugly, especially when the Wings were not at full strength! Arike went OFF, and Harrison was a rebounding machine...

At the start, neither team could get the ball in the basket.

My boo was convinced early on when EVERY Sky player was bobbling the ball that we were trying to throw the game to tweak our position. It was just...unpleasant.

The refs don't help. So many of our games we have had no calls when our folks have been hacked but the other team gets a pass. Last night there was more of the same.

No way we should have lost that game! Evil or Very Mad And by only 5 points in the end? Embarrassing...

Took the words right out of my mouth. Another one of those bad losses.

Also didn’t help Ogunbowale looked like Kobe and Harrison was playing like a prime Tina Charles. Laughing
