I would have forgiven her for just assuming it was a cyst.

Glad she didn't.

UGH! What terrible news. This is a case where the NCAA should allow Syracuse to pay to have her family fly here to be with her.

Best wishes to all concerned. Always a bit surprising when the patient is so young....proves youth is not immune to this scourge.

Thankfully she knew to get it checked out, regardless her age.

As a young cancer survivor myself, my heart goes out to her. Her life has changed in more ways than she can (or should) imagine. I am now in my best health in 45 years.

What an awesome video message of support and love! I have two sisters, two cousins, and three sisters-in-law that have fought or are fighting breast cancer, with 2 of them being diagnosed in their mid-30’s. You have to be vigilant and you have to demand scans even when your health care company says you are “too young” to be scanned annually. Praying and sending positive thoughts to Tiana and her family.

After a full treatment of chemo and surgery this week. All reports are that Tiana is cancer free.

Awesome news, indeed. Might this mean she can still be cleared to play this season at any point?

No.

She had three months of toxins flowing through her followed by MAJOR surgery. Think of it more like ACL surgery. If she works hard and her body cooperates, she might reach 100% in one year. And she might be one of the ones (like me) who will reach her best health 45 years later. It's hard to imagine how devastating the treatment is to even a young, previously very healthy body.
