No mention of the player's name or her team, while using a nickname of which many have never heard...

For those who did not know the player or the team, Erica Wheeler (Indiana Fever) secured her 500th career assist.

--- Kristi Toliver has 597 career made three-point baskets. With three more made threes, Toliver will become just the eighth player to make 600 threes (Diana Taurasi, Katie Smith, Sue Bird, Becky Hammon, Tina Thompson, Katie Douglas, and Tamika Catchings are the other seven).

That's a heck of a group for Toliver to join.

Who is the one player who did it slower to get to 2000?

Coco Miller, who got there in her 342nd game

Any ideas about WTN - Coco and Kelly?

11 1000 point scorers puts 2013 tied for 5th among rookie classes. 2000 also has 11, than you expansion. 1998 and 2008 have 12. 2001 has 14. 1999 has 26. It's doubtful that 2013 has any more 1k scorers. A return of Kayla Alexander is the best bet. Actually, 2008 is more likely to add another than 2013 is, if LaToya Sanders can last long enough to get there.

Brittney Sykes, the 211th player in WNBA history to score 1000 points! Britt Bundlez is 25 years, 184 days old. She is the 77th youngest to score 1000. She took 87 games to score 1000, the 60th fastest ever. She is the 1st player from the class of 2017 to score 1000!

She would be the fastest to 2000 if she got there in her next 3 games.

Toliver has joined the "600 made three-point baskets" club. She is in 8th place overall, with 600 made threes. Up next in 7th place is Tamika Catchings, with 606 made threes.

Check out this week's espnW top 10 plays of the week including action from the WNBA, Little League Softball World Series, NWSL and more.

In the above video, one of the espnW's top ten plays of the week involved Candice Dupree, as the announcer noted she recorded her 400th steal and 300th block.

While Dupree's WNBA biography lists her as having 400 steals and 300 blocks, the official lists of All-Time Leaders for steals and blocks each lists her with one shy of the respective marks (as of Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at 1:29 pm PST).

That's a much better set of "comps" that I would have guessed for Gray.

A few milestones we missed mentioning:

-- Leilani Mitchell and Shekinna Stricklen became the 20th and 21st players with at least 400 career three-point baskets.

-- Candice Dupree now ranks third with 2605 made field goals in her career. Up next at #2 is Tina Thompson with 2630.

-- Sylvia Fowles moved past Tamika Catchings into 4th place in total offensive rebounds. With 954 career OReb, Fowles needs 46 more to join Rebekkah Brunson, Taj McWilliams-Franklin, and Yolanda Griffith in the 1000 career offensive rebounds club.

Upcoming milestones:

-- Shekinna Stricklen has 1983 career points, as of August 19, 2019. With 17 more, she will be the 117th player in WNBA history to score 2000 points.

-- Brittney Griner has 3471 career points, as of August 19, 2019. With 29 more, she will become the 50th WNBA player to have at least 3500 points.

Per the above video, the Washington Mystics set league records with the team's 18 made three point baskets in a game, as well as the Mystics' 11th win by 20 or more points in a season.

A'ja Wilson, the 213th player in WNBA history to score 1000 points! Dime Dancer is 23 years, 12 days old. She's the 7th youngest to score 1000. She took 53 games to score 1000, the 4th fastest ever. She is the 1st player from the class of 2018 to score 1000!

She would be the youngest to 2000 if she got there by 1 October 2019. She would be the fastest to 2000 if she got there in her next 37 games.
