Can Phoenix delay the suspension by appealing it? Seems like I've seen that happen the NBA at least.

Griner said she wasn't going to argue it during her latest barely-veiled threat to quit, so presumably they won't. It's a decent stretch to have the suspension anyway. Three home games, including two against terrible teams. They should have a good chance to win them anyway even without Griner.

They made Griner a part of the “bought 300 tickets to giveaway” promotion. I think she’s calmed down quite a bit. Wouldn’t worry too much.

The rest break might be good for Griner. Missing only three games, she’d still qualify for MVP under my criteria. Maybe PHX can still make lemonade out of this lemon of a situation.

If I was near the middle of the standings, I would want my suspensions to happen exactly against teams at the top, or the bottom. So I think Mercury got the best timing here. They could, however, appeal Taurasi's 1-game suspension so they can delay it until she's healthy to play, so she can accumulate technicals in the meantime. Razz

Expect a raucous crowd. Lots of signs and t-shirts ‘made for the occasion ‘ mmaniac and I are sitting at the end of the Merc bench. My sign: Purple and Orange- These colors don’t run ( Laughing )
