I really think ATL missed their chance to trade TIP hayes , Her value was considerably higher last season. This season she has regressed to a less than average WNBA player. What has happened from 1 season to the next ? From 1st team all WNBA to non-effective period ?

Hayes is definitely struggling this season.

With that being said, I’d probably still take her over half of the starting two guards in the league..

When she doesn't get the calls to get to the FT line, then she isn't as good. And with there being less calls this year, she is what she is.

I've always thought Hayes was an injury waiting to happen. The way she plays and throws her body around is sometimes scary.

I have to say, I like the fact that bulldozers aren't necessarily getting all the calls this year... Not sure that bodes well for DT and Angel when they return, but maybe they will get superstar calls anyway.

I would like to see the Dream play Billings, Cazorla, Coffey, Coates and Gulich more the rest of the season. They need to figure out what these players can do for the future and see if they improve with more playing time. They already know what the rest of the players can do and it is likely none (exception maybe Sykes) will ever get any better.

Are you dreaming of a Cazorla-Ionescu backcourt?

Odds are against it. Is Bella Alarie any good? How bout Dangermouse? Should she get any respect?

Watching her in the Pan Am games, she appears to be an aggressive rebounder; the rest of her game is 'eh.'

Worth keeping an eye on during her senior year.

Probably a solid backup eventually.

Did I say that Alarie's game, outside of rebounding, was 'eh'? I must have misspelled "big bag of nothing."

I saw this earlier. Definitely seems like it'll be her last game with the Dream.

I believe when it comes to anything contractual where they count years, Angel will get credit for an entire year for playing that one game.

I don't think that matters. She was under a guaranteed contract this year, and was coming to games, sitting on the bench. So she got paid and it counts as one of her core years whether she ever played or not.

Does seem like she is saying she won't be back on the Dream. She was pretty angry about the trade rumors.

Curious where she'd like to play and what team(s) could use her? New York? Indiana? Dallas? Vegas?

The other option is that it's this team's last game in Atlanta ...

You're right. I forgot she got injured while playing for the Dream. Being under contract doesn't matter because you can still be off roster by being temporarily suspended. However, she's on the roster getting paid.

Or are you underthinking? Anyway, I admit, I can always take any set of random dots and connect them into a picture. Clay's picture connects the dots about as well.

I suspect that both your and Clay's "dot connecting" may be informed by your respective desires for a particular conclusion.

Never thought of that. Hoping they relocate and don't fold.
