This woman has a track record of nastiness. How can she be anointed with a black heart? May her career die a quick and painful death.

This would be trending on Twitter if more than 10 people besides myself knew who the hell she was.

I knew the name sounded familiar. A quick Google search confirmed that.

Back in 2017, a video surfaced of Burrell giving a sermon in which she referred to gays and lesbians as perverted. Shortly after the video of the sermon surfaced, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" cancelled Burrell's scheduled appearance. It was then announced that she would not take part in the 2017 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Honors and she was removed as an honoree.
