You already got a player that can do exactly the same kind of dunk, only just in practice.

She played for Helmi last season. She did OK, but the team was extremely perimeter oriented (they took almost 900 three pointers in their 30 games).

This kid looks longer. 5 to 10 years from now she could be special!

Kuier turns 18 this year(D.O.B. is Aug. 1, 2001). She was born in Egypt and she & her family moved to Finland in 2003 during the civil war there. She plays for the Finnish national team as well. Couldn't find anything about if she's going to college come September. So maybe a 2020 draft pick?

Yes she did. The 2nd video is a better dunk than the 1st. You have to swipe left.

You must have been listening to Rick James, 17. Cool

10 years? Who has that kind of patience?

She’s eligible in two years as long as she doesn’t join the NCAA. I can’t get overly excited over a practice dunk.

Barring any draft rules changes in a new CBA, 2001 born internationals will be in the 2021 Draft.

Here are her stats:
https://www.basket.fi/naisten-korisliiga/ottelut/pelaaja/?season_id=103781&player_id=5057901

She played for a team in Finland that only has young players and was their second leading scorer, 18th overall in the league. Their leading scorer is headed to Arizona State in the fall.

Here are the other leading scorers in the league:
https://www.basket.fi/naisten-korisliiga/tilastot/

Finland is not the strongest league out there, but there are plenty of recognizable names :

Historically, Finnish players opt for the NCAA if they can, but she is the most hyped in a while so it could be different for her.

Aleighsa Welch, Brooke McCarty, Alisia Jenkins, and Jessica January are fairly prominent names if you're a WCBB fan. The fact that they're playing in like a 4th Tier league tells you just how hard it is these days to get a job in women's basketball. Shocked

I forgot to ask people what they thought about draft-eligible guard Li Yuan of China after the Liberty game. There's a lot of development needed, but I can definitely see a team picking her.

On this day, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer (Grade 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma). As of right now I am starting chemotherapy on Friday and will have to undergo surgery after treatment.

Saw some in game video of her on the Oregon St. Site. She is 6'5" can bring the ball up court against the press like a point and shoots 3's. Sort of a taller Sabally.

I didn't know Finland had a civil war in 2003. Laughing

It was very one-sided and was over very quickly. Nokia kicked ass.

Mid season mock I am bored

1. NY Ionescu (I am secretly rooting for playoffs but if not this would be the dream)
2. Dallas Cox
3. Atl Carter (early entry, Chennedy and Angel damn)
4. Chi Mompremier (Sorry Chicago fans one last lottery)
5. Indy Hebard (to play PF next to McCowan)
6. Seattle Martin (the new Clark)
7. Minn Charles (perimeter fire power)
8. PX Holmes (the Anigee of 2020 putting the pieces togethet)
9. LA Cooper (deep run and maturing vaults her up the board)
10. Conn Dangerfield (The Sun need a back up)
11. Was Bella Alarie (mike T outside the box)
12. LV Harris (Young back to SF Plum offense off the bench)

Just for fun but I like it

Is that your projected final standings? Right now MIN is #4 with one more loss to CON from being #3.

LVA traded their first round pick to DAL.
LAS traded their first round pick to CON.

Elena Bella Alarie at #11 isn’t much of a stretch pick. Might even be a bit of a bargain. Gotta pick a more shocking choice than that for Thibault. Razz
