Yikes. Has Oklahoma even signed anyone? Obviously the OU administration loves Coale - and she's probably very convincing in the room to her bosses, but what is going on there?!

Sherri is (still) an institution there....the only coach OU has had of any relevant performance. And she's proven she can coach....the more glaring problem is, WHAT has happened to her recruiting AND RETENTION? Shocked Her glory dayz seem quite over, but....who knows?

I don't follow the sport much since the retirement of Bobby Bowden, but hasn't Oklahoma had some good football coaches?

I don't follow it either, and don't consider it germane here, given that the discussion is about wbb.

I heard Sharonna Reaves was still available, but I may have missed something. Reaves is a PROVEN recruiter and can get it done. Of course she may be asking more than OU wants to pay.

I've been wondering where she will end up. I wonder if she's ready or interviewing for head coaching gigs.

There is clearly a perception growing around the program that Sherri is not always above board with recruits. Nothing violation-ish, just kind of misrepresenting what the player's role will be, what the style of play will be, etc. Not sure how accurate that is, but that's been the report from more than one of the recent transfers out of the program.

Perhaps the infusion of new AC's will help with that.

Interesting, and certainly believable. I have never followed any of the OU fan boards, and don't know anyone directly connected there, but the change over the past few years has been undeniable. I've often wondered if any of the transferring players have voiced their reasons.

North Carolina Central University third-year head women's basketball coach Trisha Stafford-Odom has announced the appointment of WNBA player and local collegiate standout Erlana Larkins as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2019-20 season.

Larkins becomes the third coach on the NCCU women's basketball staff who has played in the WNBA, joining Stafford-Odom and third-year assistant Tynesha Lewis.

This remains one of the most mysterious offseason stories. DeLisha Milton-Jones has lived in Southern California for a long time, and her connections are on the West Coast. Pepperdine is coming off a great year, and DMJ was on the selection committee for USA Basketball's U16 team.

So why did she give up a head coaching job to move across the country? (And go from the beach at Malibu to upstate New York?)

And then Pepperdine is left holding the bag, and hires a D-3 coach for the rest of the recruiting season and next year (or maybe more).

Very odd ...

Chantel Osahor hired at Arkansas.

Edit:
Whoops - apparently announced prematurely. Now pulled back. I still think this will be the hire.
