Always hard to vote this early in the season. But since it's just picking ten regardless of conference and position makes it easier.

No surprises, but there's some glitches. DeWanna Bonner is listed being on the Liberty. Wrong picture next to a player. And if you vote for Vandersloot, it gets entered as Victoria Vivians.

I used the link below. When I clicked on Bonner's name, it was the correct profile.

HOWEVER, as of 3:19 PM PST, Brittany Griner was not listed as a WNBA player for whom one can vote.

If they don't fix the Vandersloot glitch, Vivians may be named an All-star.

They did have time to put Megan Gustafson on the list. I'm sure her and Carleton will be racking up the votes from Iowa.

Having to vote for five guards and five backcourt is a pain when they don't have the players labeled. I ran across some odd placements. For example, as of this afternoon at least, Odyssey Sims was counted as a frontcourt player.

I mean Augustus last year. Another year where Sue's selection was in question. Someone will always end up being snubbed. I personally am excited to see diamond getting some votes!

The All-Star game isn't about the best players, it's about who the fans want to see. (Another reason I dislike them ... they are mislabeled. Should be called Most Popular game.)

Remember Shoni Schimmel?

Remember Schimmel winning the All Star game MVP? Apparently not.

Except that 'All-Star Game appearances' is commonly used as one way to judge a career, debate Hall of Fame possibilities and generally argue over how good someone was. Yeah, fans can vote for whoever they want; but getting in does still matter.

And arguing over who should get in remains one of my favourite debates each year. The problem with this league is you have to start choosing based on so few games.

I know I have another All-Star thread somewhere, but I am too lazy to search for it, so ...

Snoop Dogg, Iggy Azalea and DJ Liz Cambage headlining the Friday Night Beach Party during the weekend of All-Star.

Those starting ten would make interesting 'teams'. Guess Parker could get her wish to be PG.

Are the top 10 automatically named starters? Yeah, those ten we'd have Parker and Collier as the starting PGs.
