Good for her! These are the type of jobs that women would like to have access to them. Women with pro basketball experience have been shut out of these jobs for so long because these they were not allowed into the good old boys club.

Yes. This is wonderful news. Hoping it helps pave the way for women getting more of these high-level jobs in the sports world.

And it's great for Ms. Cash that she no longer has to work for Hideous Lord Jimmy (Dolan).

This is the latest in a string of major hirings by David Griffin, the Pelicans' new executive president of basketball operations.

Last month, Griffin hired Aaron Nelson, head of the Phoenix Suns' highly regarded training staff for two decades, as the Pelicans' new vice president of player care and performance.

Two weeks later, Griffin hired Trajan Langdon away from the Brooklyn Nets to serve as the Pelicans' new general manager.

We will see how Griffin and Langdon navigate the Anthony Davis trade waters,

Rolling Eyes

Looking at the current state of the NY Liberty. I'm a little shocked that the Pelicans hired S.Cash.

i like swin, but what credential and experience swin has in the front office for such a high profile job? i'm thinking these are like publicity stunts.

What qualifications are necessary?

I remember correcting Cash recently when she said Catchings is the GM of the Fever. Pokey is the actual GM of the Fever.

Knowledge of day to day operation of a sports team. That's what interns and assistants are for.

I feel good for Swin

She did a LOT for the community and player relations in the lib front office namely the unity day...knew she was on way out when she was noted she was not a part of the war room

Was a time I thought she was the GM when Dolan had that wheel of authority in 17 (Clarke Cash Spoon Bill Isiah Padover) that replaced Bernert...no accident Keia and Spoon are last standing of the group

Swim did a lot of good for the libs with limited resources given Dolan last year

She brings a lot to the pels...nothing but the best for her
