NYSports56 drops Bria Hartley, G, NY and adds Shatori Walker-Kimbrough, G, WASH.

I have no idea what to make of the Washington guard situation. I've got Ariel Atkins already, but Walker-Kimbrough has been outpointing her.

Two heads are better than one! The only two undefeated teams are the ones whose owners were smart enough to get GMs! The rest of us went the Jerry Jones route and thought we could do it without any help, and now we're all looking up. Smile

I could have been one of the undefeated teams if I had started Natalie Achonwa instead of Azura Stevens. I'm getting an interesting choice at forward every week; I've got to choose between Achonwa, Stevens, Jessica Breland and Napheesa Collier. I'm not feeling too bad about missing out on Achonwa, because she was my 4th choice this week and I really wasn't considering her. But she has definitely inserted herself into the starting conversation with her 40+ point performance last night.

I also have a choice at guard, but it's not as pleasant so far. Neither of the players I drafted to be my starting guards (Tiffany Hayes and Ariel Atkins) has looked good on the court nor given the points you need from a starter. I am really fortunate that I lucked into Erica Wheeler in the 9th round, because for a 2nd and a 4th, Hayes and Atkins are busts so far. At least with Wheeler I can bench one of them. But not both of them, unless I give Walker-Kimbrough a chance.

A'ja Wilson at center is a no-brainer, but in general, I like the way I am having to think about my lineup each week.

Yeah i like the way i have to think about my line up as well. I have some well rounded guards with Cloud and Slooty. They fill the box scores for me. Cloud had a slow start but she picked it up this week. I almost dropped her sunday night im glad i stuck with her. Alyssa thomas has been my teams MVP so far. My struggle is my post situation. Dolson and Glory have been below par period. Zauhi has been inconsistent and Russells jury is still out. Powers just came back and Bentley has been a no show. Alyssa has carried us thus far. I really hope Glory or Dolson start to play like the all stars they once were or i might have to start shopping.

Me too: right after this coming week! Smile

I feel the same way about my 2nd guard the way you do about your center: Hayes and/or Atkins better start playing and earn the spot soon, or else I'm going to need to look elsewhere. I hear Hayes has been hurt and should be improving.

mojo/myrtle is convinced by TRP that perhaps we were too hasty in dropping her. We will sign her again TRP, g/f LA and waive B. McCarty, G, Dallas.

The key to our success has been our defense. How else do you explain the 3-0 record when we are 7th in scoring.

WNBA 09, I don't have Zahui B as being on your team. I might have missed something. Here is the current roster for your team in my records:

Alex Bentley, G, ATL
Natasha Cloud, G, WASH
Stephanie Dolson, C, CHI
Allisha Gray, G, DALL
Glory Johnson, F, DALL
Aerial Powers, F, WASH
Mercedes Russell, C, SEA
Jessica Shepard, F, MIN
Alyssa Thomas, F, CONN
Courtney Vandersloot, G, CHI

Which of these players did/will you drop for Zahui B?

Hoopmom has been unlucky in matchups. Scored lots of points, but opponents keep scoring more!

He probably meant Russell.

You could probably use a transaction list, because he seems to forgotten that he dropped Zahui.

I'm not currently tracking the transactions as they happen. I maintain the rosters on the front page, post the current ones here when I post the weekly recap, and periodically post a list with the available players alphabetically. People should double check their rosters to make sure I have things right, or if they have something wrong.

WNBA09 waived ZahuiB, picked up Shepard on the 26th.
WNBA09 waived IMS, picked up Russell the next day I think.

Sounds like she only has one game left before leaving for Eurobasket, although I haven’t seen anything that confirms that.

Mojo's team has been the model of consistency. Not great, but not bad. When one falters someone else picks it up just enough to survive...just like it's supposed to happen with a 'real' team. Now we have to figure out how to deal with Meesseman's absence and hope we survive til she returns. This coming week we're going to need some good luck to go 4-0. (or some bad luck for j-spoon! Wink )

Yes, both you and Admiral Needa have been missing your #1 draft picks since the start of the season (Taurasi and Candace Parker), and it's resulted in a bad start for both your teams.
