Well it's going as most predicted - a shootout between Tina Charles and … Natasha Cloud

Now I’m in a League Pass blackout are for this game. The Liberty need to stop messing up League Pass.

Is that an error or is the game on NBATV?

Entertaining game. DC showing why they are difficult to defend with their spacing. And the Libs’ non-existent help defense making it easy.

Plus side we are seeing better shot distribution. Not coincidentally we are seeing better offense. Much more controlled game by Tina. 8 turnovers though as a team...still too many. DC has 9 players in uniform. Maybe NY pushing tempo will wear them down by the end. Let’s hope.

It just feels to me like a classic Liberty "get the fans' hopes up and then screw up" night, but I hope I'm wrong because winless teams aren't cool after week 2.
Agree that it has been a very watchable game so far.

Hopefully the Lib pull this out or they might burn down Westchester! Razz

Liberty offense is a little stagnant this quarter. Hopefully, Allen gets back in shortly and goes off again.

Nice last few minutes by the Libs to keep it alive. Their offense is so much better when it's on the back of getting stops.

After three quarters, five turnovers by Washington, 12 by the Liberty.

Only five turnovers? That is a quality the Sky should develop. Stop giving away games because of too many turnovers. Rolling Eyes

Liberty get close and then throw it away. Allen's not hitting anything this half.

Using only an 8 player rotation is going to kill us. Tina never sat this half.

Kinda felt inevitable. Familiar NY story … some positives in there, interspersed with extended stretches of MEH.
Durr seems to be building nicely.

I’m just not wired to take 17 losses in a row in stride.

Interesting that neither Raincock or Wright got put in during garbage time.

New York led 23-13. After that, Washington scored 81 points, New York 62.

Looking at the schedule, it's not hard to imagine at least four more losses before perhaps the Liberty win a game. It's painful. And even more painful when the team's 0-4 record this season could easily be 2-2.

Upcoming games:

vs Wings

Yeah … the streak seems likely to exceed 20

Just think. Even the best lottery odds only have us at 44.6 for Ionescu. 🤮

They will probably beat us (Lynx) and the board will have to endure SpaceJunkie’s breakdown of how Katie Smith is a better coach than Reeve Evil or Very Mad Laughing Crying or Very sad

In the battle between the cellar dwellers, we have at least looked better than Dallas.

The Liberty are 2-13 in games I’ve attended at WCC.

You have, but knowing the Libs' luck atm, that will be the game Skylar returns and drops 40
