It was a mirage. Atlanta, without McCoughtry, has never been half as good as anyone might have thought they were, at any given point in time.

I really wonder where does she rank regarding shots per minute.

They won a game in which Delle Donne left with an injury (at which point the Mystics were leading) and one in which she didn't play. And barely managed that.

At what point does Collen consider starting Cazorla just to get a real PG on the floor? Though Clarendon didn't exactly work out great for them either so who knows...

Shoutout to the Aces for supplying postgame commentary video even for road games.

I predict never. She really likes Montgomery.

I watched highlights of this game. I know it was on a week night but still sad to see all the empty seats. Not sure if the Dream and the Hawks have the same owner but since the Hawks will be moving their G-league team to an arena in College Park that seats 5,000. Maybe the Dream may want to consider working out a deal to play there next summer. I know that various people have posted about the Dream moving to another venue.

With an announced crowd of 2,000, there's probably about 1,000 people there -- and you have to assume a significant percentage are either free or discounted.

Maybe moving to a smaller arena would help, but from what we hear, traffic, parking, etc., are all issues where they are now. Is the other site any better from those perspectives?

Traffic and parking are much less of an issue at State Farm than they were at McCamish.

Thx.

I buy this - she puts on an ice or heat wrap on her lower leg every time she comes out of the game... Since the first game. I wondered if it was her lower shin.

Doesn't explain the team missing good look open shots at an alarming rate but helps explain why Tip is a beat slow or off.

may be atlanta is just a tough town to sell basketball. i recall the watching the hawks game, the crowd is still significantly smaller than other nba teams. not sure about the braves, but i think only the falcons can draw near capacity.

I've definitely noticed that Hayes hasn't been flying around as much so far this season. Normally once or twice a game (at least) she hits the deck after charging in for a layup and/or getting fouled. It's barely happened at all so far this year. Suggests she's playing very much within herself, or can't make the same moves that usually end with those dramatic finishes.
