Dolson will be a FA at the end of this season. Dolson and Lavender are the worst defensive frontline in the league

Dolson for Paris & Seattle's 2020 1st rd pk. Chicago can just cut Paris and give Dolson's minutes to Parker/Ndour

Dolson for Stokes

Dolson for washington's 2020 1st rd pk

Dolson for M.Jefferson

Dolson for V.Vivians

Unless Dolson makes a trade demand to play for Seattle only, I don’t see the incentive for taking on Paris.

Yes.

Would consider it. Then again, Dolson was let go for EDD..

If the Sky were getting 2016 Jefferson then absolutely. Now? Not so sure.

Sky already have too many wings.

Trade entire Chicago roster except

Sloot
Quigley
Deshields

Get 1 decent PF and 1 decent C. Either the league makes the trade since Chicago is bent on self-destruction or demands Chicago gets someone who can assess players vs team needs.

The incentive is Seattle's 1st rd pick.

There is wishful thinking and then there is reality. Wishful thinking is finding a team that will trade anything of value for Dolson. She has a fat salary with low productivity. What is more realistic is to allow Dolson's contract to evaporate at the end of the season. The Sky will just have to eat that loss and find a replacement during the off season.

WNBA isn’t really a salary dump league like the NBA though. If it was, then I could understand if Sky management covets an additional first rounder to the point they’d accept Paris to get it.

Actually, I’ve never seen a player get traded in this league to just get cut to obtain an asset on purpose unless I’m mistaken..

I like Vivians as well, don’t know if she’s that much better than anyone in that group to help the Sky win more basketball games though.

Wishful thinking. Not going to happen.

Dolson still has value, she’s just in the wrong system. She’s not a scorer, she’s not really a great rebounder, and she’s not going to lock up and protect the paint for a full game.

If she were in an environment that could hide her a little on defense, utilize her passing awareness and 15ft jump shot we’d most likely be talking about an All Star(I know she was a borderline All Star when she was chosen).

Mav! Very Happy You should read your first paragraph out loud. You just listed all the qualities an above average post should have. The fact is she is deficient in all those qualities and that equates to little to zero value.

So she is a point guard in a center’s body? Just don’t expect her to score. Rebound. Play defense. Isn’t that pretty much basketball, except to add passing? I guess there is fouling as well.

I might give away Paris and our third round pick next year. Maybe. Paris can at least rebound.

I actually like Dolson and I am a little annoyed with Stokes being Turkish now, I think NY needs what Stokes brings to the table more than we need Dolson but what if we upped the ante

Stokes and Hartley or Boyd for Dolson and Copper we'll even throw in Atl's 2nd round pick.

Sloot/Hartley or Boyd/Faulkner
Quig/Jackson
Deshields/KLS
Ch. Parker/Williams/N'Dour
Stokes/Lavender

Nurse/Hartley or Boyd
Durr/Johannes/Wright
Copper/R. Allen
Charles/Gray
Zahui B./Dolson/Han

Still not sure but I like Copper

but both teams still look pretty desperate

No thanks. She's not a bad big, but Seattle is a running team, and Mercedes Russell is growing nicely into the 5 position when we need one.

I think the player Miller might be most open to trading is Tuck. The Sun have an issue with too many players coming off rookie contracts at the end of this season and has talked about a different team next season. Here is my guess of that list of players from mostly likely to keep to least likely:

1) J. Jones
2) C. Williams
3) B. Holmes (not sure if she belongs on this list since she was out due to pregnancy)
4) R. Banham
5) M. Tuck

There's talk of Jefferson playing by the end of June. Dallas needs to lose a player, is there a potential trade possible? Davis? Hill's contract is too big as is Plaisance. Who else could they trade or does someone just get cut? Hopefully, it's not McCarty-Williams.

Temporary suspension means Jefferson's salary is already included in cap considerations. So they can cut anyone they like, including the guaranteed deals like Hill or Plaisance, and still be exactly as much under as they are right now.

toad455,

When did you hear this....God, I hope you are right!!!

Davis and TP are my two to go, and I think they find a way to get rid of Hill next year no matter how her season plays out this year!

They must really like Davis if they kept her over Burke.

If Gabby Williams keeps performing well, I wouldn’t care to send Faulkner somewhere else for a 2nd round pick once she is healthy. Or maybe package her with Dolson for something. This aims a little high but I’d send them both to Dallas for Izzy Harrison.

I understand your thinking. With Williams playing the backup point guard position there is not a need for Chicago to have three point guards. Chicago needs to make a decision on Dolson. She will be a free agent at the end of the season. She might want another six figure contract and she is not worth that kind of money so the best thing to do is to trade her for something positive now.

Hmmm... Gabby as PG. Who came up with that concept? Spooner, do you remember? Wink

We’re you the one that said she played point guard in high school a while back? I know Gabby as a guard coming into UConn. Something even more shocking is I heard Napheesa Collier say during a podcast that she played point guard her freshman year of high school!

Well if Gabby is a PG now (and Canada's injury turns out to be bad) how about

Seattle's first round pick for Gabby Williams

theme and variation

Seattle's first round pick for Jefferson and Dallas' 2nd round pick

or

Seattle's 2nd round pick Brooke McCarty-Williams
