Wait a minute! I didn't say their crappy bench didn't need an upgrade...just that I doubted it would happen on the waiver wire, and that if it did it certainly wouldn't be a determining factor in how crappy their starters are or how many games they lose this year. Meanwhile Burke isn't really their position of need, but she actually might be useful to some teams...maybe even your beloved Lynx.

Liking the waiver now, eh?
Nobody was willing to deal for her, even with Dallas having a bunch of extra picks. Wouldn’t Dallas like an upgrade over McCarty?

I imagine she will clear waivers, then someone will pay her a lot less than her contract was with phoenix.
Signing a mature known quantity player is not exactly the same as picking up a rookie who has never proven anything.

. I'm so excited for her and think it's cool that her coach is also a former Marquette player (nothing to do with her getting signed I know - just a fun fact). I'm not sure if she has a real shot at playing or not but I'm hoping she can get in a game.
