I am putting this thread in this section because the United States will use college players again:
https://www.usab.com/news-events/news/2019/03/2019-us-wpag-team-coaches-announced.aspx

It will be a busy summer for Vic as Mississippi State will participate in the World University Games. I wonder if he will have 12 available American players for that or whether there will be additional players to fill any empty slots.

Puerto Rico generally uses college players as well. JMU has had a strong presence in the recent past, with Jazmon Gwathmey and Ashley Perez being team members. Nikki Oppenheimer was on the last U-20 or U-19 team. (I forget which)

Were there changes before the final list?

Recently USA Basketball also announced their four choice for coaches to help them out. I could definitely see one or two moving up in the next cycle.

Wow - watched a little of the streamed practice last evening, and it seemed fairly obvious that Sutton was the best guard on the floor. And Carter did not show well.

Just goes to show what I know. Congrats to all of them!

5x5 play starts Tuesday. Games will be on ESPN3 with some of the action likely to make it on ESPNU or ESPN Deportes, but they do not always pre-announce what will be shown on television.

The United States plays Argentina at 10pm ET Tuesday, the US Virgin Islands at 7pm ET Wednesday, and Colombia at 11:30am ET Thursday.

Since it's not a FIBA event, I won't cover it as much as I do some of the other national team competitions.
