Takeaways from the High Post Hoops WNBA salary database

Quote:
Last week, High Post Hoops’ Howard Megdal provided a team-by-team breakdown of WNBA player salaries for the 2019 season and beyond. His cap report is the result of diligent research and outreach, as the terms of WNBA signings are kept under wraps. Howard was kind enough to share his data with me, and here are my takeaways regarding what we currently know about WNBA salaries as teams begin their pre-season training camps. (All data are current as of May 4.

FYI, the charts and graphs from the "Takeaways" article did not appear when opening the link via Google Chrome on my laptop, but they appeared and were visible using Safari on my iPhone.

Useful as this stuff is, it's a shame that Megdal decided he wanted to desperately maximise clicks out of it so shunted it from a useable spreadsheet to 12 separate (pretty small) image pages. If anyone just steals his data and puts it in a vaguely user-friendly format they'll end up with far more page views.

ETA: Also important to bear in mind that teams can carry 11 or 12 players. They pretty much ignored that in the takeaways piece, and it changes the maths pretty significantly in some situations.

I had no idea Bonner was making more than Taurasi and at this point in their respective careers it's not likely to ever change.
