I note that:
Janika Griffith-Wallace SO
Paige Barrett SO
Brianna Crane SO

in addition to Evelyn Adebayo are no longer on the Murray State roster:
https://goracers.com/roster.aspx?roster=342&path=wbball

(also Michaela Manley, senior, but that's understandable)

Anyone know what's going on? Apologies if this has been discussed already.

Looks like UConn will be able to put 5 on the court next year.

Hey if you're going to sit on a bench somewhere it might as well be UConn's.

myrtle, you've always been a consistent UConn hater if nothing else. I used to think of you as a knowledgeable vet on the board, but as time has shown, you are as petty with the best of them. Evelyn will help!~ You just wanted to see us fall off, but never that. We're back baby so soak it up and keep hatin' Wink

She'll get her five minutes of fame (if might take all season). But yeah she'll get it.

that's sad. She was a ray of hope on last year's team.

Huge loss for Tenn. She was not only a rising talent, but had a tremendous work ethic. With Westbrook and Collins gone, Tenn's hopes for a decent season have really plummeted.

Well even Myrtle can have a bad day. I'd buy the humor if it was based on something factual but her entire premise is a lie. The player led her team in points and rebounds last season so she wouldn't be sitting the bench for Murray St. And now that we see the truth then Myrtle either was just trolling or else is not as knowledgeable as you seem to think. Very Happy

Quite likely but Stevens was a 1st round draft pick and Butler led the nation in rebounding her last season. And they both left UConn with a year of eligibility while Adebayo is coming in for her 5th year. She seemed to hold her own pretty well in 2 SEC games last season. Should at least provide depth inside.

To me this is all prelude. All I keep thinking about is Paige Bueckers. Laughing

My premise wasn't about her sitting on the bench at Murray St. Obviously she wouldn't be sitting on the bench at Murray St. But there's a huge leap from Murray St to UConn and transfers to UConn, even from better programs, have not traditionally gotten much floor time. I don't think Geno's system is that easy to pick up for a player with one year of eligibility left. If she went someplace else, she would have a better chance to actually play. But she might have the best chance at a championship by sitting on UConn's bench.

Laughing And I was actually trying to inject some humor about it but apparently UConn-er's are a bit over-sensitive in the moment. Sorry if I offended you. And actually I've never been overly anti- UConn. They have players I like (like Pheesa) and players I don't particularly like (like KLS) but I think Geno is a very good coach and I also think it's good for the sport for there to be increased parity. So I guess bottom line is that I hope UConn stays competitive but doesn't return to dominance...if all that makes sense.

Lydia Rivers is transferring from Radford to Va Tech. She'll have one year of eligibility left after sitting out the mandatory. Her dad is a former Hokie so he's proud. https://t.co/SuoHLtuilD

OK, that makes sense then. She was listed as a redshirt Jr. She'll probably take Magarity's place, and her spot at Radford could go to Felgemacher (if she stays healthy, she's had back and knee problems all along).

Fans of the Gamecocks should talk. Their program is now called the "Holiday Inn of wcbb", nice place to go for a season but you don't want to live there for 4 years. Rolling Eyes

LOL Hardly. They will have one foreign player next year and I suspect she may be a one and done. Then they have one in 2001/2002.

Maybe if you think hard you will remember Kia Nurse or way back to AA Abrasimova?

Whatever makes Geno happy.

Edit: I forgot that despite spending 4 years in the US Adebeyo is British. But hell, 2 years in Kentucky changes people. Very Happy

I guess when posting game times we will have to include the times in Warsaw and London. Rolling Eyes

I think most elite coaches who get the attention of top (American) recruits don't *need* foreigners, but it's a terrific pool of talent, imo. Maite Cazorla, Alanna Smith, Natalie Achonwa, Kia Nurse, etc., etc., can be HUGE additions to any elite program. Can't fault any coach for looking there.

According to Raoul, she is not going to UConn. She is going to transfer to Rutgers.
