True, but they hedged on Griffin and Moore (suspended) and Fagbenle and Zandalasini (overseas), so why not Brunson too? I guess what's different about Rebecca is that she's a UFA and in theory can join another team. I wouldn't think that's an actual concern, but I suppose it's a technicality that has to be observed.

Yeah, they addressed everyone who's under contract or whose rights are held (and are expected to arrive eventually). Brunson's technically not connected to the franchise at all at the moment.

Blurp i forget shes an UFA...

Manny is really hard to figure out I have

Robinson/ Brown
Augustus/ Sims
Christmas
Dantas/ Collier
Fowles/Fagbenle

Zandalsini if she comes
That leaves 2 to 3 spots for Larkin, Ting , Griffin, Shepard, Dullard Bell and i wouldn't be surprised to see any make it. I kind of listed them in my order of likelihood I see Reaves going with experience over youth but it could be anyone in the top 9 there is enough flexibility to go in any direction

5 things to know about new Lynx radio voice Sloane Martin

Martin replaces John Focke, who was hired to broadcast for the Charlotte Hornets.

doesn't sound promising but I hope it works out. Hopefully she tries to imitate Martin, who was really good, rather than someone like Mary Murphy who babbles endlessly about anything and everything.

Question

Doesn't sound promising? Confused
Seeing as the 11 other teams in the league don't have full time radio coverage, most none at all, from a local prospective, she's a very good choice Smile
She seems very personable in person & social media; she covered the Lynx all last season for The Athletic and I enjoyed her writing. She hasn't been hard to listen to when I've heard her on 'CCO radio so covering a sport she played and has passion for is a bonus.
Anyway, she'll be different from Focke. But like John will find her rhythm in time as he did when he took over from Alan Horton. I've always wished it was a 2 person crew but being all alone can't be easy. But is better then nothing.

Yes, I've enjoyed her writing in The Athletic.

She’ll end her WNBA career with a great legacy. Personally, I think THIS should be her last year though. She’s one of three current WNBA players whom I think need to retire (Brunson & Wright being the other two) because they’re just keeping roster spots away from younger, more athletic and better players that can’t get a chance because there are not enough roster spots available in the league. There are some players past and present who just don’t know when to hang up the sneakers.

How can you not have Camille Little and Erlana Larkins on that list. They have been washed up once they lost their athleticism and never developed an "old persons" game. Augustus and Brunson are still effective in spurts.

“To my knowledge nothing’s different,” Reeve said of Brunson, who still is listed on the roster. “I’ll probably hear from her just to see how she’s doing.”

Reeve doesn’t sound too invested into Brunson. Not sure what’s going on, haven’t heard from her.

Quote:
“She updated me on what she was working on, with her ministry work and criminal justice reform,” Reeve said of Moore. “That’s sort of our plan. I don’t want to be overbearing, but I do want to hear from her.”

But with Maya it’s a different story. Even with Maya established as sitting out, Reeve wants to hear from her.

Reeve seems to be slotting Collier as a SF at this time.

“Being my third organization since I came into the WNBA, this is by far the best. They take care of you, they’re all about communication, they make sure they want to know how you are, how you’re feeling, that’s something I’m not used to,” said Sims. “They really care about your wellbeing, it’s not one worried about themselves. Here everyone’s a team, everyone’s worried about their teammates more so than each other individually.”

Here’s that quote in video form, towards the end of the clip. Sims is in the say all the right things phase of joining a new team.

Here DRob goes into more detail about her injury. Sounds like it was another Achilles, but doesn’t flat out say it.

Also mentions Dillard is being worked as a PG, so maybe Brown will be spotted as the 3rd SG.

I didn't realize what a beautiful girl DRob is...and a great smile! She sounds really upbeat.

Can play 2-4. She’d be an awfully tiny 4.

*Training camp/minimum contracts do not count against the cap until season starts and they make team.
