Young went blue, which is a good color for her. I'm not a fan of choker style dresses, but it was fine.

Durr opted for a white suit. Either she forgot Easter hasn't come yet or she doesn't care about such things. No heels, she wore white oxfords with black accents.

McCowan went with a black pantsuit, spiced up with a yellow jacket. Solid, if uninspiring.

Samuelson chose a red dress. She looked nice.

Ogunbowale wore a light green strapless pantsuit. The color was borderline for pre-Easter, but ultimately your opinion of the outfit will be largely determined by your opinion of the tattoos it left visible on her shoulders.

Collier had an off-white one shoulder dress, with a serious slit to show her legs. It was fine, but another pre-Easter no-no.

Brown went with a black suit and a low neckline that displayed more decolletage than we usually get at these events. i'm all in on the got-it-flaunt-it style.

Smith wore a dark green shoulder dress with a bit of shimmer. With the slit skirt it seemed a little more formal than the other draftees.

Anigwe went with a navy blue strapless dress with a Bardot ruffle. She looked nice.

Cunningham chose a white romper with a bright red jacket. Less formal than the other draftees, she really looked out of place.

Han wore a navy top with a floral skirt and black stockings. No heels for her, she wore open flats. It was an unusual look.

Gustafson chose a red strapless dress with bell sleeves. Solid and forgettable.

Jackie Young looked like a #1 draft pick last night.

White is now permissible all year. Tats are no big deal.

I liked Anigwe and Durr, with a third place vote for McCowan because she rocked that bright yellow jacket.

Han and Cunningham both looked ridiculous.

Probably why she went in the 2nd round. Teams don't want their players weary goofy outfits in public.

Cunningham hikes up her basketball shorts, too, with what looks like a sewn-in elastic border.

I thought Anigwe was the best interviewee in terms of her articulateness and voice quality.

I like Alanna Smith's look best. Sleek and sexy. Colliers white dress was my second favorite.

Katie Lou's hair looked great.

I said this already, but I think this was the best dressed draft class we've seen in a few years.

Do the NBA draftees get a similar review? Laughing

I was hoping for Smith's right strap to complete the journey it seemed to be on. Oh well.

Cunningham looked like a Midwesterner on her first Family Vacation to nyc.

I, too, was most impressed with Anigwe at the mic.

In recent years, it seemed you could sum up the NBA draft attire with a simple "they all looked ridiculous".

I thought last night that Young and Anigwe were the clear standouts. There were a couple like Samuelson who looked classy but pretty run-of-the-mill, a couple who looked silly (especially Cunningham with her shorts and soccer mom hairstyle), and I thought Collier's hair and such looked great but her dress looked like she was going clubbing in NY in some bad TV series from a decade ago. Too tight, too slit, too much for the situation. Arike looked fine as Arike, and I thought she showed in the Dancing with the Stars that she's never going to threaten Diggins' spot at Fashion Week.

Maybe to make it even, for the WNBA All Star Game in Vegas, we should all have a Board Junkies Fashion Show and critique ourselves Idea Laughing

Fortunately, in Las Vegas, no outfit is "too ridiculous". Razz

My only complaint always is that if you have to keep tugging the strapless outfit to keep it up over your boobs, don't wear it.

However, I thought all the draftees looked fine. Not to sound too cranky, but as much as it's interesting/fun to see the players in civvies and not unis, I will not criticize anyone's choice of attire. Get enough of that shit other places.

It's still a small percentage, but it seems like more players are either wearing shorter-than-current-knee-length shorts or hiking them up in some way. Jackie Young and Kristine Anigwe are two examples.

I think that Jackie Young got an extra inch "roster height boost". Here is listed 6'0" Young with listed 6'2" Erin Boley.
