Massey has it
JMU 61% -- NW 39%
Zona 67% -- TCU 33%
but removed their odds on the W NCAA games, too much interest ?

hmm, people complain about Oregon's crazy floor. This one is worse, especially because it's not symmetrical.

Frustrating game for JMU. Every time they close from ~10 back to ~5, NW gets a couple of buckets to pad their lead.
51-44. 2:25 3rd

Final NW 74, JMU 69. The Dukes closed with a rush, but were too far behind to catch up.

Announcers say the crowd is more than 10,000 at Arizona. It gave the Wildcats a bad case of the yips to start - 3 airballs. But they've recovered and have a 1 point lead early.

It was a really frustrating game. Very physical and extremely chippy. Also there were a lot of fouls not being called...the usual suspect reffing. A couple of the JMU players, including starting PG Logan Reynolds, have been playing hurt much of the season with nagging injuries that nothing will fix but extended rest, but they're a gritty team.
Interestingly, I learned that JMU had at one time recruited NW's star shooter, Lindsey Pulliam. I think I'm glad she didn't choose the Dukes...or perhaps the Dukes decided against recruiting her further. I could be reading her wrong, but she seems to fairly exude attitude, a kind of aloofness that doesn't come across positively and wouldn't fit well at all with this team. NW has a couple like that.

Arizona hanging in there. They looked like they had the game well in hand but TCU keeps making runs. I wonder if the crowd size is helped by the fact that the men's team didn't do well enough to get into a tournament and those fans are used to having a team to root for at this time of year.
Assuming Arizona will host the final as well.

This picture (the one in the story lead, or in the story down on the right) is a heartbreaker: Logan Reynolds, the Dukes' starting PG, going to the locker room for the last time after the loss to Northwestern.

She's an emotional player and the heart and soul of this team. She leaves it all on the floor every game. She has no plans to play anywhere after graduation, so this was it for her. The player with her arm around Logan is Kayla Cooper-Williams, who is almost the definition of poker face. The only time I've ever seen her cry is when she blew out her knee two years ago.
Logan is an amazing kid, a scrappy little Scots-Irish girl from southwest Virginia coal country. No dummy, her major is intelligence analysis and Middle Eastern migration. On the floor she's the ultimate commander who knows where everyone is supposed to be and does her best to get them there. She constantly asks questions of the coaches and even of the refs (very respectfully there) and Coach O says she's like a sponge. It would not surprise me to see her end up as a coach or a referee someday. I have so much admiration for her.

Looks, from the score anyway, like the Arizona-TCU game was just about like ours. Box score shows Pebley using her bench more than Barnes, but otherwise it looks like a scrappy game.

Always sad that last game as a senior. I totally feel for them.
