Adam Amin calls every close Women's basketball game a classic.

Good game, but not a classic.

Why do you make that throw? From one sideline to the other?

Maybe anticipating a man defense and being able to throw over Dangerfield

Finally, the Lady Huskies made it happen on the boards! That was THE major difference in this ball game.

They only out-rebounded them by 5.

The difference was 14-4 from the three point line.

I don't like these endings. An 11 point lead with 1:47 left and I have to sweat out the end?

Nice to see KLS find the inside of the rim today. She needs to shoot 50% and score 30 to make up for her bad defense.

Out-rebounding anyone is a huge board game for UConn.

Both teams used the 3 pt shot extensively. Louisville was 4-22 from 3 while UConn was 14-26. The difference was shots made, not shots attempted.

A perfect example of both sides of the saying "You live by the jumper and die by the jumper".

I’m glad Uconn won, but I don’t see them cutting down the nets in Tampa Bay. Also, watching Oregon and Mississippi St. Is McCowen a really good basketball player or is she just tall and tough? To me, she just looks slow and lumbering to me. Now, I haven’t seen her play much, but she doesn’t look like a really good post player in the WNBA at least not for several years.

I think that's what I said, isn't it?

When's the last time UConn shot so many 3FGAs ?
Walz never adjusted to this degree of chuck-and-duck.

They need 6 refs for the FF. Think they can find 6 good ones?

Or maybe they need another ref on the baseline?

Thought LoUConn was basically going to be a decoy for the tourney, didn't think she had it in her. Glad I was wrong!

gee, no one here mentioned the obvious blown Collier foot on the baseline call? did you like how espn showed the replay that didn't even show it?

or the equally bullshit "held ball" when dangerfield- who I admit should have been dribbling and moving- was taken down near halfcourt?

doesn't fit the narrative?

Classic, well-played game by coaches and players alike. Definitely one of a National Championship caliber, imo. Just hope the following game are as good!

If you have it recorded, you need to go back and watch it again. IIRC, it was 6-8' from the lane line that she was on the baseline. Something was said about it being a bad call, but then as the replay ran, it showed her foot on the baseline.

I've already deleted the games, so I can't go back and re-watch it and be more precise on the baseline call.

I didn't have any problem with the held ball call other than I thought that the ref might have been a little quick on the whistle compared to other times when it has to be a tug of war before it's called.

I'm not sure that I do.

If ND is going to lose, I hope it's quick and as painless as possible! I think that I'd rather go down early than lose at the last second. Smile

And as much as it's killing me, Muffet may be wearing a wig and fake green nails tomorrow night. Laughing
