One thing that's killed Tenn all year are early fouls on CGreen, and here we go again.

I'm a little bit shocked. I expected them to go right at UCLA but they are not present.

Three Bruins with three fouls, not feeling good.

The Refs are keeping the Lady Vols in this game (18 FTs for Tennessee, 9 for UCLA).

Tenn can't throw it in the ocean, not unusual for them. Shooting 33%, 20% from the 3, and 61% from the line.

Yeah, right. And Tenn managed to produce 4 extra points from that. Not exactly keeping them in the game.

I missed seeing UCLA build it's lead but watching now it looks like Tenn has UCLA playing the open court style the LV's like and are playing the Bruins even.

44-32 at the half.

Give UCLA 9 additional free throws in that first half and let's see what the halftime margin would've been.

If UCLA shoots 5-for-20 in the 4th quarter (like it did in the 3rd), it's not gonna win this game. But if UCLA shoots better, it'll probably win! Hitting shots is a more successful strategy than not-hitting shots!

This the same UCLA that our left coast fans told us about. And if it is then could the PAC12 be a paper tiger?

The foul trouble and having only seven players is affecting how they're playing. They're not playing confident. Dean and Onyewere are not in foul trouble and need to be more aggressive.

I never understand this "they hit more free throws; ipso facto the refs are biased or incompetent. "

99% of the time the correct answer is "they play a different style that results in drawing more fouls."

It's not like the PAC plays a particularly physical in-the-paint style of basketball.

Yes, because she had to, at least, decide to NOT lower her elbow after the 1st contact.

Collins has been the overachiever in this freshman class.

Are you talking in generalities, or about this game specifically? How closely did you watch the second quarter? Very very closely?

To me, the replay showed it was off Tenn. Not sure why the heads didn't see that.
