Fun game going on...35-34 SHU at the H.

St Francis was down 8 midway thru the 2nd when Jessica Kovatch, the NEC scoring leader, picked up her 2nd foul and went to the bench.

Oh myyyyyyyyy...the aforementioned Kovatch just drilled an NBA+ 3 bomb to give SFU it's 1st lead, 44-43, at the 5:00 mark of the 3rd. The crowd is silent as SHU calls time.

St Francis has gotten a few live turnovers and have pushed their lead to 5, 52-47, :42 in the 3rd. SHU calls another time out.

Sacred Heart has missed several shots in a row and SFU has extended its lead to 61-50 w/ 4:43 left.

Sacred Heart went on a 7-0 run to close to 61-57, but the Red Flash, the defending NEC tourn champs, outscored SHU 7-3 down the stretch and will compete in their 19th conf tourn final Sunday, seeking their 13th title, against either Robert Morris, the #1 seed, or Mount St. mary's, seeded 6th.

kovatch is another unheralded player (outside the NEC) who is fun to watch.
