Marquette just tweeted a picture of championship blues and it’s their light blue jerseys. I sure hope it’s not light blue for Marquette and dark blue jerseys for DePaul again like it was for the matchup in Milwaukee - that hurt my eyes.

I agree! I hated that. It can’t be good for the players either IMO.

these two team should know everything there is to know about the other side. So far great back and forth. 20-20 end of q1.

Much better at this point in the game for Marquette than it was in the BET final last year. Come on Marquette!!!

If I don't post in here after the game, it's because I had a heart attack - ugh...

wow. what an ending. DePaul kept coming close but never seemed to get over the hump. Then bingo right at the end.

sorry Marquette! (he probably did have a heart attack) Crying or Very sad

Bye bye any chance of a 4 seed - all you had to do was make free throws and at least not give up the AND 1 at the end when up by 2 - oh my God am I annoyed right now...

Wowzers! What a game! I sort of didn’t care who won, although I am kind of a DePaul fan, but I think my heart rate is a little out of control! I would have been okay with either team winning though.

Marquette is a 5 maybe - more likely a 6 or 7 though I guess. Not sure about DePaul. At least Marquette probably avoids an 8/9 but who knows.

This game really shows how much they miss Davenport and her rebounding but Marquette still had chances to win and blew it big time. I'm not sure I'll sleep tonight.

I'm guessing DePaul is probably a 7 seed and Marquette a 6 seed (maybe a 5; if Marquette won, I still think Texas A&M would be the last 4 seed, but Marquette would have a chance).

sorry, she!
anyway, yeah, I thought Marquette had it. They led the entire way and just blew it at the end. At the worst, I expect OT there. The foul was really stupid.

Yeah that's what makes me all the more upset about them blowing this game - they had a possible shot at hosting if they would have won. Very poor execution by them but credit to DePaul also - they did what they needed to do to win.

Actually, I was thinking what huge HEART Marquette demonstrated with Davenport missing. Awesome, Championship Quality game, even though I was rooting for Marquette (AFTER my 'Rebs game' pick for this tourney was Butler--I was hoping for the 'long shot' win to overtake Myrtle!)

I agree DePaul probably moves up to a 7 - at least away from the dreaded 8/9 slot while Marquette will likely get a 6. Maybe a 5.

and agree with Howee (for once) that Marquette showed huge heart, even with the loss of Davenport.

I wasn't mad about that - that is fine Smile.

I never assumed they had it and feared them blowing it like they did. I was screaming out at the timeout with 10 secs to go - just don't give up a 3 or the AND 1 and then they proceed to give up the AND 1 Sad. I think DePaul probably still wins if it goes to OT but that probably would have been easier for me to swallow.

I wasn't happy MU had burned all their TO's by the end either - would have been nice to have advanced the ball there.

I feel bad for Hiedeman - I've never seen her miss a FT as badly as she did right before DePaul went ahead. That's not the reason they lost of course but she has to feel bad.
