If Stanford destroys OR, will that drop OR to a 2 seed?

Would it be enough to move Stanford to a 1 seed?

Sounded like Charlie would drop them with just a loss, regardless of by how much.

Stanford isn't going to be a #1 seed. But, Oregon drops to a 2 but stays in Portland anyway. Not much of a deal, imo. If the seeds hold, you play a 3 instead of a 4.

Why wouldn't Stanford get the Portland slot and the Ducks have to go elsewhere? Stanford would be the higher seeded 2 and should get the closest location.

Because Oregon is better, pasted them by 40 on their homecourt, has better losses and won the PAC12 reg season?

Huh? Like Michigan St? And Oregon didn't beat the overall #1 seed.

Huh? Like Utah? And Stanford didn't win the PAC12 regular season title.

But the discussion assumes they will have beaten Oregon tonight and won the Tournament. Those would cancel out Oregon's only advantages leaving Mich St and Baylor as the primary distinguishing factors, both in Stanford's favor. If Stanford wins tonight they will likely be higher seeded.

When Stanford beat Baylor(1) almost 3 months ago, Oregon beat MS ST (5) 3 days later. In a year when we're all talking parity, how much of a difference is that in Stanford's favor, really?

And Oregon won the PAC12 regular season championship.

Didn't it take Oregon OT just to get here?

she hasn't played Wilson this many minutes all year, and for good reason. I guess she doesn't trust her Freshmen in the final, but they have been a huge part of Stanford's season.

Stanford could make this a 50 point turnaround.

You mean you're not impressed with her 1-7 chuck-a-rama?

Most of them were bad decisions before they were bad shots.

Fingall has been the biggest cheer leader on the bench. Still feel bad about her injury...

not just that. The Hulls have been really good defenders on the perimeter, as well as only taking shots they have good chances to make. That's why it was so puzzling. I hope its not what Tara does in the next games.

Anyway, phew. a win is a win.

Just to put things in perspective, here on the east coast the P12 final is being followed on ESPN by the World Ax Throwing Championships. I remember when ESPN was little more than niche sports.

OK. Other games I saw today it started with the final buzzer.

ESPN switched to axe throwing so I guess I won't see it.

I thought they'd have a wrap-up show with Creme discussing the impact of the Iowa and Stanford wins and instead they're throwing tomahawks.
