There's really only three contenders. Surely Whalen will win the poll, and probably the award as well.

In the award's 12 year history, no school has won it more than once.

2013 winner, Francis Hollingsworth Warlick, might provide Tennessee the opportunity next year to be the first to win it more than once.

Jenny Huth - (19-8, 14-4) - Took over team that was (26-7, 15-3) last yr
Melissa Jackson - (16-11, 7-9) - Took over team that was (9-21, 3-15) last yr
Lindsay Whalen - (19-9, 8-9) - Took over team that was (24-9, 11-5) last yr

I think you could add these two names. Two of the coaches above took over team's that had better record's last season. Jackson has won 7 more games (4 more in conference)

Gene Hill - (16-12, 10-7) - Took over team that was (8-21, 4-14) last yr
Marisa Moseley - (15-12, 11-6) - Took over team that was (10-19, 5-13) last yr

Hill has won 8 more games and 6 more in conference
Moseley has won 5 more games and 6 more in conference

We do not all recognize these names. You need to affix teams to them.

Huth? Hmmm.....I haven't followed the "coaching changes" thread in a long time, obviously. What happened to the dynamic duo of Etheridge/Patterson at UNCO??

Kamie Ethridge is the latest coach to try to make Washington State relevant

Hmmmm. She and Patterson were a known *item*. I wonder if that's over. Well, God bless 'em all.

Patterson is still at Northern Colorado. Dunno the status of their relationship.

Sadly, as a Washington state resident, this is never going to happen. Pullman is, just...the worst. There's a pretty good reason why they've signed, like, 4 Washington HS players in the last decade. God knows how they convinved an entire family to move there from Hawaii.
