Interesting to see the list of expenses.

Ranked second in the polls prior to Sunday's loss to Miami and third nationally in attendance, the University of Louisville’s women’s basketball program is nonetheless the No. 1 source of red ink in the school's athletic department.
No other team exceeds the $3.8 million deficit women’s basketball showed last season. Despite record revenues and a memorable run to the NCAA’s Final Four, the 2017-18 Cardinals generated fewer dollars than coach Jeff Walz was paid in salary, bonuses and benefits. |

The differences in travel, equipment and recruiting budgets between the women’s and men’s teams stinks of Title IX violations. How can the men’s team spend nearly a million more than the women for travel?

The equipment, uniforms and supplies difference is most striking to me. Why would those not be nearly identical?

That one does seem out of whack, but it is just one year's actual numbers -- there could have been some odd supply purchase that just got charged to the men's program.
It's also not clear where any designated funds might have been spent.

Does the women's basketball program have any lucrative TV deals? I see they're selling out games, is that not enough? Genuinely curious.

Playing to a full arena is different from a sellout. Staley admitted that a whole lot of free tickets have been given out over the last few years.
