St John's leads 1-0 over Georgetown on an administrative technical foul before play started. It seems certain lights are not working properly.

Georgetown 23-13 over St John's 7 minutes in.
The Big East has been fun to watch all year. Today these two teams look tournament worthy, but they are middling teams in a conference that will get only 2 or 3 teams.

Mighty Tulsa starts with a 9-2 against an Auriemma-less UConn.

How about Maria Fasoula going off against Tiera McCowan and Mississippi State? Wow. 24 points through three for her.

Georgetown holds off St John's 82-80. St John's missed a lay up at the buzzer that could have tied it. A highly entertaining game.

Anybody watch Mizzou/Auburn?
Someone for Mizzou was on crutches at the end of the game. My power keeps going out do the high winds and the feed was just coming back up as they were in the handshake line so I didn't see who it was.

JMU went to Williamsburg today and beat William & Mary on their court, 78-65. Jackie Benitez had 21 points off the bench for the Dukes, leading 4 JMU players in double figures. At least W&M was wearing pink today instead of their usual ugly unis.

UVA beat GA Tech in a really sloppy, ugly game at the JPJ, 53-45. For a long time the game was up for grabs but UVA finally pulled ahead in the last couple of minutes. Deb Ryan was present and was honored at halftime. Worst day's work UVA did was firing her. (YMMV)
The Houston-Memphis game was more interesting, won by Houston in the last seconds, 59-57. I thought surely that one was going into OT. I wish I'd watched it instead of the above one!

I didn't watch it but was also wondering what happened that Mizzou collapsed in the fourth quarter - outscored 20-9 to lose.

Cal wins in overtime, 82-76. Tremendous comeback. Arizona controlled Anigwe, holding her to 16 points. But Cal hit 12 3's, including 3-3 in the OT for the win. On senior day Anigwe and Thomas, the two main seniors, both fouled out in the OT. Reece Caldwell, the graduate transfer, led the Bears with 24. Aari McDonald had 31 for Arizona.

It was their freshman guard, Akira Levy.

Anybody see the Jackrabbit/Coyote battle? State wins it in OT, 82-78. Hoopsmom, were you there?

Jeez Cal are jekyll and hyde this year. If they could be consistent from 3 they would be a different team.

Aaaaaaand........Texas Tech chokes away a double digit 4th Q lead to lose by 2 to Iowa St. Nice job by Iowa St, especially the last basket.
Did anyone notice the near-vacant arena in Lubbock? Embarrassingly small crowd.

There were some shakeups in the MAC tonight, as the two leaders in the West lost. Buffalo beat Ohio by 30, and Kent State won over Miami 67-58.
