Article on Georgia's head coach Joni Taylor, who is coaching even though she is expecting to give birth next month!

Quote:
Her actions recently have been making her players nervous. It’s understandable. Taylor is coaching for two and she is due to give birth next month.

Taylor can laugh at the concerns because she said her doctor has not put any restraints on her.

"Not at all," Taylor told The Associated Press on Monday when asked if doctors have any medical reservations. "The fans do. I get emails every day. People tell me to stop running, stop jumping, stop stomping."

She looks ready to go at any moment. I wouldn't be surprised to see her water break on the sidelines.

Drew is 20 inches long and weighs 6 pounds, 8 ounces and both she and Joni are resting well

Note that she was on the sideline for the Dawgs last night!

Thank goodness and congratulations, I was expecting a sideline birthing.

I thought she was a bit more subdued than usual. Amazing performance really! I'm surprised the baby is that small considering how huge she has looked.

I think the announcers said during the game that it was the end of this month, but that Joni kind of expected it to be the end of this week. She looked last night like she was about to pop any minute, but to my practiced eye it didn't look like baby had dropped yet. Of course after the first one, sometimes they don't until just before. (probably TMI)

Any bets on whether she's back on the sideline Thursday?

Shall we start an office pool on the Birth Day?

Well, a little too late for that!! Very Happy I *said* she looked about ready to pop Monday night, even though it didn't appear to me that baby Drew had dropped yet. Ah well. Now I wonder if she had started having contractions during the game! Good thing it wasn't a close one! Glad mom and little Drew Simone are doing well. One thing about the running, it probably made the birth easier. Congratulations to Joni, Darius, and big sister Jacie, and welcome Drew Simone Taylor!
