Fun and insightful read.

"Unforgettable" is subjective, I s'pose. Though I've read many of those listed, the only one I remember was Scarlett O'Hare's.

My all-time fave: "How green, then, was my valley and the valley of those who have gone."

Yeah I thought it was a good selection in terms of both the stand alone qualities of the final sentences and in the stature of the works they were taken from.

When I was in college, Toni Morrison came to campus to give a talk. She read the last sentences of several of her novels and discussed what she thought of them and how she approached ending a book. It was fascinating.
