An outfielder and first baseman, Robinson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982 in his first year of eligibility.

A fearsome hitter, Robinson ranks 10th on the career home run list with 586. He won the Triple Crown with the Orioles in 1966 and became the first black manager in MLB history in 1975 with the Cleveland Indians.

Great player. Even as a Boston fan, always loved watching him play and then go on to manage. RIP

One of the greatest of the greats and object of one of the worst trades ever.

I became a Reds fans a couple years after that trade, but loved those late 60s-early 70s Orioles team (except when they kicked Cincy's ass in '70). They were the only AL I ever liked. Robby, Blair, Buford, Brooks, Boog and those starters. What a team.
