my first thought was that you meant Holly Rowe and was trying to figure out what you were talking about.

Well the other Holly was expected to get blown out today, so it won't be based on that. But if they fail to make the NCAAs, who knows? Does UTenn give a shit about women's bball anymore?

I was thinking this referred to Holly Rowe also and thought I like the job she does on air Smile.

"Never" might be a bit too generous, but....ya. I think of JPM at Duke who oughtta get axed first, but....Duke probably cares less than TN does.

A TN legend who is ruining the program. If she cared, she would resign.

With a bit of mercy they wouldn’t even get the chance. She’d be lured away from Rutgers by Tennessee. That woman has made the final four with table scraps.

Then again one could argue that Stanford's humiliation at home only makes Tenn's loss at home to Stanford worse.

vitriol doesn't become you. I've always respected your posts and especially appreciated hearing news of JMU and the Colonial league and I understand your frustration with Tenn, but this comment is really snarky.

When Tara loses a lot of games to teams in the bottom of her conference year after year, and when it gets worse year after year, then maybe there will be some consideration of 'firing' her, but I suspect that if that were to happen, she would gracefully retire first. Comparing her situation to Holly's is like apples and oranges. Maybe you think Tennessee's problem don't have to do with Holly's coaching or that she is unfairly targeted? If so, perhaps give us a cogent reason why you think that. But there is no need to dump on someone else who isn't close to being in the same situation.

May I offer a hug? Maybe you will feel better?

I was being snarky mainly because I'm just *seriously* tired of grenades being lobbed over the wall by people who it really doesn't concern. Nothing was meant at all by the comment about Tara, as aI thought the "snark mark" would indicate. I guess it wasn't enough and I apologize to any Stanford fan who took it seriously.

If they're not going to fire her they might as well just fold the program.

so far, she's continuing to get quality recruits. that counts for something.

at least if they do ever get a good coach, that person will have material to work with....

Tennessee should fire Holly and hire Robin Pingeton.

Last night, Tenn went into the locker room down to Auburn by 5 at the half. No one knows exactly what she said, but Holly kicked them out of the locker room 4 minutes later, and Tenn schooled Auburn 22-10 in the 3rd qtr, eventually winning 73-62. Giving them a kick in the *** plus shortening the bench considerably, which CHW did last night, have been needed for a while. Likewise, everyone on the team needs to spend more time in the gym putting up shots. After watching SC, UConn, MSt, and a bunch of other teams this week, the most striking thing is how much better their shooting is compared to Tenn, which falls securely in the middle of the SEC pack in FG percentage.

They hire Pinchface and that would be the absolute end of my love for Tennessee. That woman is poison, I don't care what she's done at Mizzou. I don't like how she recruits and I don't like the way she encourages and permits dirty play.

So you are more concerned about the way she gets them to play than her religious beliefs Laughing

Remember when people used to defend her by saying stuff like- "Holly has made the S16 each of her first 4 years. Pat never did that."
