well, Durr got untracked in the 2nd and Lou made their expected run, but CT held on and only trail 40-38 at the half.

so is it just me or does it seem like Durr spends a lot of time just standing around. Kinda makes Dangerfield's job easier. Maybe that's the plan, lull 'em to sleep then every once in awhile move.

Williams and Walker seem more like Tenn type players. Lots of athleticism and can occasionally shoot.

I watched a Euroleague game the other day- audio, but no game call. Even w/ non-stop soccer-like cheering, chanting, jeering, it was much preferable than the typical espn broadcast.

Walker much more so than Williams, imo.

Nelson-Ododa is the most disappointing in terms of shooting and scoring. I haven't seen any evidence all season that she can do either.

UConn is good, but nowhere near their many great teams in terms of offense, defense, passing or rebounding.

Geno gave up early in the 4th quarter, playing Coombs, Irwin and ONO. UConn reduced to individual chucking -- the Swiss watch is kaput.

Not loving Adam Amin tonight. He was great last year in the Final Four but tonight not loving his hyperbole on UConn losing or the fact that 17,000 is the largest crowd this season for women. Okay got it.

Well.

I just got here, expecting a thread full of Fire & Brimstone. Instead, Chiney is declared obnoxious, and KLS and Walz tie for Whiners o' the Night award. Shocked

Ya, not vintage UConn, but not a *bad* game. There were some good spurts of talent/skill. Also great to see a huge crowd--our game always needs that.

Why should Durr expend energy shaking Dangerfield every minute of a quarter...? I mean, she was face-guarded all night (and still got 24 pts) Crystal did a good job, playing all 40 min, and only 1 foul (Asia the same, actually).

BEST moment of the game: 4th Q, L'ville's bringing up the ball, Collier is prepping for defense out on the perimeter, and Fuehring approaches her....and stops dead still. COLLIER--anticipating contact--FLOPS....and casually gets up when there's no call. I mean if I was her coach, I'd be embarrassed to have fans/refs see how poorly coached my players' flopping technique is. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Wait, a UConn player is a "flopper?" No way! I thought those only played for ND.

If you were a UConn fan, I'd swear that you were talking about either Ogunbowale or Mabrey... Wink
