I have done research and have not seen any precedent so I though I would hit this community up and see if anyone has knowledge.

Has the NCAA ever granted a 1/2 of eligibility to a kid?

Example kid gets hurt after 10 games Sr year.... could you petition NCAA for 1/2 year?

(Yeah I get you can petition the NCAA for anything)

While I don't think 1/2 year is possible, if the team plays enough games in post season , then I think the kid is eligible for redshirt. I'm pretty sure post season games count toward the total, of which the kid must play in not more than 30%...for 10 that would be 33.
