What a great play and exciting finish.

Against my better judgment I read some of the comments - the hatred towards women's basketball really gets to me.

NC State demonstrating at home why they are over-rated. Va Tech pushing them to the OT. I think Emery tried to take over, which was their downfall. Before that they were playing good team ball and could have won in regulation.

Still on on the ACC network.

edit: And NC State dominates the OT. Feel bad for Va Tech. It's amazing how NC State plays nobody until Feb. Then it's gonna be a rude awakening. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose @ Ga Tech on the 27th. Then the losses will come fast and furious.

Alabama is following up Thursday's win over UT by trailing LSU at the half. 12-3 foul disparity and 17-4 FT disparity aren't helping. Neither is the 10-5 TO disparity. Hopefully Bama can clean things up in the 2nd half.

Even without scoring yet Ionescu is looking like she will get another triple double. She finally got 2 FT 4 minutes into the second quarter, but she already has 9 rebounds and 7 assists midway through the second quarter.

41-13 Ducks.

UNC is slowly coming back against Miami in the 4th

Stephanie Watts is a nice looking player, she kinda reminds me of sugar rodgers in a sense where she can score in bunches quickly but can be wildly be inconsistent

Sure, that triple double by Ionescu is good, but how about Alanna Smith going off for 32 points and 14 rebounds in three quarters of play so far against Wazzu?

34 & 15 in the end for Alanna.
Her season 3P% is now 50%, which is ridiculous.
(People even starting to notice her now … I see someone found a spot for her in the first round of their WNBA mock draft)

ASU @ OrSU going to OT. Awesome game by Ibis. And ASU got three interesting calls their way in the last minutes to get there.

Jenny, after trailing Minny for most of the game. Finally gets the lead late in the 4th quarter. Gophers have been hitting the boards hard. Is Nebby center Kate Cain in Sophomore slump. She looked good lastL year. But the frosh post player Verbeek is bringing it today.

Not to take anything away from Alanna Smith, whom I like, but Kristine Anigwe put up 29 points and 23 rebounds against the same Washington State team two days ago. No one on Rebkell even mentioned it. Today, Anigwe put up 30 and 18 against Washington. I guess if your team drops out of the Top 25, then you no longer exist. Razz

GA-Tech over Syracuse....bit of an upset, no? Didn't see that coming.

Also, I got to see NC-State and VA-Tech for the first time. Tech was much better than I (or NC-State, I believe) imagined they'd be.

JMU regrouped successfully from their Friday night loss to UNCW and took out their frustrations on College of Charleston 91-50, with everyone getting into the action and 4 players in double figures.

UNCW, meanwhile, continued spoiling everyone else's fun by beating Towson 77-73 and keeping the standings in a scramble.

On a side note, I think Eleanore Marcizewski's parents must have opened the door to try to watch the game from Ste-Julie, Quebec, as we are freezing our essentials off down here!

Tech has the problem of having their conference schedule front loaded.

Their first 5 conference games were:

at Miami (lost by 7)
Syracuse (Lost by 2 in OT)
at UVA (rivalry game, lost by 4)
ND
at NC St. (lost in OT)

I think, despite their 0-5 conference start, that they'll finish above .500 in conference and make the NCAA Tournament. Their most likely remaining game loss is Louisville, and maybe FSU (Who isn't that strong this year, so maybe not), at Clemson (who has been playing well), and possibly at Ga Tech (who beat Syracuse) then two revenge games at home vs Miami and UVA.

NDSU beat North Dakota on Sunday to give the Bison their first win in 8 tries vs the F'hawkers since both teams moved to Div 1. I remember when this game meant something. Both teams play a repugnant brand of hoops at the moment.
