Everyone but GT and Villanova playing in the BE Sunday (Villanova lost at GT today and is a surprising 2-5 in the BE so far).

Butler at Creighton is on FS1 and the rest are available on the BEDN via FoxSportsGo: https://www.foxsportsgo.com/

Blockton is in uniform again and put for warm ups - not sure she’ll start but guessing she’ll play in this game. Go Marquette!!!

A bit of a crazy day in the BE - the only game that really went how I expected it to was Providence beating Xaiver easily - 71-58 (have to agree about Xavier's coach being on the hot seat from that thread).

Marquette did beat St. John's to move to 7-0 in the BE but the game was way closer than I had hoped it would be - I was very nervous in the 4th quarter. I was impressed by the play of Curteoona Brelove of SJU - saw she was a redshirt senior and didn't remember seeing her play before - I do see this is her first year playing at SJU after tranferring from VCU. MU's all-time leading scorer and preseason BE POY Allazia Blockton saw her first action since the first BE game on 12/28 after injuring her ankle. She played only limited minutes and only attempted one shot but I"m sure she's still restricted and I'm glad she is able to come back and play yet this season. Marquette had 3 players score 20+ points and Natisha Hiedeman looks to be a good candidate for BE POY at this point of the season.

Butler beating Creighton didn't necessarily surprise me but how easily they did so surprised me especially with the game being at Creighton and Butler having lost at Providence on Friday. Butler won 75-43.

And the big surprise to me was Seton Hall winning at DePaul 84-73. Marquette had blown Seton Hall out of the gym on Friday in a game that wasn't even competitive and I expected DePaul to win today (granted Marquette struggled against St. John's today though).

Marquette leads the way in the BE now with their 7-0 mark, Butler is 2nd at 6-1, and Seton Hall and DePaul are tied for 3rd at 4-3. Surprised to see Villanova at 2-5 and St. John's at 1-6.
