Losing Bibby is huge. Guess we'll see how serious it is. Could have been a hammy.

she made a weird move and it was non-contact, which always scares me. She crumbled in a strange way. About 2 minutes into the game. She grabbed the back of her leg which is why I thought it might be a hammy.

Sad Geez … well I hope you're right. (though I have seen some very serious hammy injuries too, but not in basketball)

Vic was emotional about it at half...like he was worried it was pretty serious.

This is an exciting game, the difference is the woman from Miss St.

Well that was 1 heck of a game! I thought T Cooper did a great job in some respect but also tried to do it all. She missed many shots and turned the ball over at least 6 times. She started off great then tried to take over the game rather than pass it to someone else. I think the Gamecocks could have won that game(nothing against Miss St) if Tea would have shared the ball more near the end of the game they would have had a shot at it. Case in point, Bianca Q was all alone behind the 3 pt line and Cooper took the shot herself.

Now, there was some fine basketball. In chunks, at least. Definitely much closer than the score indicated. If Miss Teaira had made half of her own offensive rebounds, she'd have had 40 pts, I believe.... Shocked She is a Beast-lette.

Dawn did about the best she could, being totally outclassed in the post. Rematch should be fun!

I did have to laugh at one point when Cooper ran into McCowan, bounced off her, and fell to the floor. The camera showed a closeup of Teaira as she looked down her nose with an expression that seemed to say, "What kind of bug was that?"
(Not a fan of Cooper)

I actually thought it was close to worthy of an unsportsmanlike call...

I really enjoyed watching this game. I agree that the final margin (which exactly matched Massey's prediction) was little misleading as the game felt a lot closer than that most of the time.

Any update on the Bibbi injury? I hope it wasn't serious.

Pure spec, but the Bibby injury looked classic ACL to me.

I've really come to like her game.

Just found this:

No, not that one. It was later in the game. Cooper ran straight into McCowan
like she expected her to get out of the way. It was really dumb on her part.

well as far as I can see, Cooper isn't known for 'smart' play, but in this game she was a big reason SC hung in as long as they did.

Yes, Chloe is out for the season with an ACL injury. I was at the game, and you could tell immediately. Sad

We are saddened to say that
@chloelbibby
will not rejoin her teammates on the court this season.

But if we know Chloe, we know she’ll come back even better than she was before.

We love you, Chloe!

It was a good game to watch, spoiled only by the announcers' incessant slobbering over Dawn Staley.

Guess Gino has quickly become old news. Dawn appears to be ESPN's latest crush.
