Going to OT in the battle for South Dakota. Macy Miller hit a 3 with 8 seconds left to tie it.

SDSU 80, South Dakota 80

Sold out crowd in Vermillion.

This game should be the game on ESPN.

Double OT now! USD trailed 89-82 in OT but rallied back to 91-91.

Damn, this game makes me nostalgic for the Div II Nort' Dakota matchups between the Bizun and the Fightin' Sues.

Illinois trying to snap a 29 game Big Ten losing streak against Minnesota.

Gophers led by 17 but now trail 63-62 with 1:40 left.

Illini pull it off 66-62. Outscored Minnesota 23-9 in the 4th. Sad

Some of these B10 teams like Minn, MSU and even MD had gaudy records based primarily on playing nothing but a bunch of cupcakes. No suprise they are losing conference games.

The Big Ten is Helter Skelter this year. The league will beat the hell out of each other.

Such an exciting game to be at! And very glad we got the W... We have 90 minutes left in our 10 hour round-trip drive, but the game was worth every minute / mile! (And my girl had a GREAT game ! ❤️)

Butler moves to 4-0 to start BE play with a 66-45 win at home against St. John's. They stand alone in first place in BE play for now - Marquette is second at 3-0. Butler has their rivalry game next weekend at Xavier so they'll be even on games played with Marquette after next weekend until either team has their next rivalry game.

In a little bit of a surprising result to me, Villanova lost at Providence 67-61.

Creighton is home to Georgetown on CBS Sports Network now and up 45-31 halfway through the third quarter.

Xavier is hosting Seton Hall and has a 40-32 lead with 2:41 to go in the third quarter. If that lead holds, that means that the two previously winless teams in BE play will pick up their first league win today (Providence was the other).

What is the deal with Georgetown? Have they completely lost interest in WBB? They were decent for quite a few years. Not any more. Sad

I thought they were on a bit of an upswing recently but they sit at 8-7 and 2-2 in BE now. Of course it's hard to tell much about the BE right now - it's been kind of crazy - Creighton wins at DePaul, Creighton loses at home to Villanova but then Villanova loses at Providence (that one is a real head scratcher to me). And Butler is on top of the BE standings for now at 4-0 - they look to be much improved this year.

JMU went over to Drexel from Delaware and beat them, 51-35, in a game that sounds like it was somewhat less than sparkling but was nonetheless a W. I did not see it as I was involved in the Tennessee-Mizzou debacle.
